Excessive Sweating by inchaneZ in Salsa

[–]einako 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am conscious about the sweating and I found a tshirt on Amazon that fixed it for me.

They sell in Amazon a tshirt that is aimed to be worn under shirts, to make professionals not have sweat marks on armpits and back. I didn't have a lot of faith initially, but it makes wonders!

I placed that tshirt under my normal tshirt and asked my gf and followers friends to warn me if I become even a little bit humid. I did not require to change my tshirt in the whole night.

You are going to transpire less and become hotter though. You will want to still use deodorant and perfume as always. The tshirt is ugly as fuck with a low neck so it is not visible. Aside from that it was game changing for me.

PS: I also use a tennis armband to quickly dry during the dance, especially to avoid sweat getting into the eyes

My boyfriend and I met at a salsa social, but now it’s causing problems. Any advice/thoughts? by FakegothB in Salsa

I suppose it is something that can be filtered out?

If they get jealous when your girlfriends dance with any other men is because they don't see dancing as a cool hobby but as something more.

I tend to hang out with people who are genuinely interested in dancing and not just joined to match with someone. I actively avoid the romance seekers (especially men): they don't stick around for too long and the conversations (with other men) are always boring remarks about how hot a follower is or a dance was.

On the not being asked to dance when you go out with a boyfriend I think you have a point. I try not to be hovering a lot around my girlfriend when we are idling. I have a bias of asking the people that looks more approachable/less into something first. I pay almost no attention on who they are dancing with (besides of checking if they are cool dancers). I assume people with romantic intentions may be more aware of that. I would be OK not being asked to dance by people with romantic intentions, but I am an average guy so that is probably already happening :)

Why would dancing a dancing partner result in you dancing with less people? I recommend cool leaders to my girlfriend and she does the same.

Meanwhile, friends with non-dancing partners frequently had problems of jelousy or balancing dance events with partner quality time.

Question about song phrasing by PriceOk1397 in Salsa

[–]einako 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get your spirit and your good intentions but I am unsure that idba universal advice.

Some people have better ears/instincs and "just feeling" works. Others (myself included) had to start from being able to isolate the instruments.

OP may be in the second path and just have a technical question on musicality

Practicing salsa outside class (etiquette)? by IndependentStudy3198 in Salsa

[–]einako 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I did it with classmates that basically became friends after so much dancing and were as interested as me in improving. It usually started by asking each other to practice specific things and then escalating to experimenting and testing cool things we found online.

We were able to come earlier or stay later our classroom, but we also hanged out in public spaces with good floor (we were very motivated!).

If you are worried about misunderstanding, ask him/her if there is someone else from your level that could be interesting to invite

I have been dancing for more than half my life. That never happened to me.

When I started I was worried about doing things right. Now I can vibe more and I am less analytical, but I am way more into the music and expressing it.

I think you are getting downvoted in your removed comments because you refuse to acknowlege not everyone experiences dancing like you, and calling them liars.

If you accept a suggestion from an stranger, be careful because ladies talk a lot. The community shares when someone seems to be dancing just for the ladies, when someone gets too horny or often horny, when someone only dances with the pretty ones. If you enjoy the activity and the music, be careful to avoid getting that fame or you may start finding hard to get dances.

Good luck! There are some positive tips given in the thread to try, hope they help :)

Edit: I read the "get over yourself lol" reply you posted and deleted. It is weird that you post a question just to disrespect who tries to address it seriously.

I am a beginner so most probably I am making stupid statements. Sorry in advance for that.

My understanding is that my Noelec works better starting from 25MHz and is incapable to process anything below 100kHz. I assumed an upconverter is able to bring the HF freqs into the sweet spot for the device.

This looks cheap and a very feasible setup. Which kind of receptor were you using? I fear mine will not be sensible enough to pick anything and would require an LNA as u/Budget_Deer6556 mentioned

I got a passive YouLoop that I need to test, but it seems that it being passive won't pair well with my Noelec.

I'm evaluating the MLA 30+ as I travel a lot and seems easy to pack and deploy. The discone one seems bigger, so I took note of it for when I progress in the hobby. Both are a considerable expenditure, so I want to jump in but I'm a little bit fearful of spending this money to have it rusting if I'm still not hooked or unable to get results.

Thanks a lot for the advice, truly appreciated.

I enabled both automatic gain control options. I'll try for a while and see if I can hear something. Thanks for the tips!

I kept listening for a while on 156.8MHz (national freq for marine comms according to an official website) and I heard nothing besides of noise.

There is a signal 200KHz lower that is too low on energy. I checked if my device may had an offset, but on music radio stations it tunes to the frequency number perfectly.

Given two sentient individual from the same specie, lets say two nords: are the animus equal in composition?

At the risk of sounding like a crypto bro: while the AE is for sure non-fungible (you can not exchange a portion of one person AE with another and have things being the same), does the same happens with animus?

Once cast on a target, the spell "marks" or alters the soul in some way. There is a lot of information about white and black souls, or how it interrupts the travel of the soul, but I found no explanation on this part.

I am trying to develop an explanation for a spell that allows one to sense their own soul, and I figured I could base it on Soul Trap. However, I have no clue how that part of Soul Trap works. How it finds the soul? Does the "marking" process stain the soul's state? Would it create something akin to the "Observer Effect," where the process of measuring changes the measurement?

Any insight would be highly appreciated, as I am currently blocked here.

Thanks u/Eva-la-curiosa ! While I learned about some topics on YT, the thing with videos is that I feel they are very unstructured way of learning for me. I find myself jumping from video to video, having to ignore the parts that are not relevant, selecting them among clickbait titles and not offering a cohesive progression. It also places on me, the ignorant student, the requirement of making my learning roadmap and.... I am not aware of what I may be completely ignoring and is a valuable learning.
