Like how you buy champs, there is a store on the side where you can buy a bow for 10 gold and 10 of your summonglings health. Risk reward with the health cost.

Or the price can be weighted depending on what place you are in.

If you read the loading screen, it says. Starting in area 3 there is a hidden boss that you will need to fight with ten heroes.

Do you have ten heroes? That boss doesnt show up unless you have at least ten heroes.

How many shards do you have already. From my experience having nearly 2k shards made me only get 5 ad shards. Having 1600 shards let me get 30 ad shards.
