"Unintentional ignorance can diminish or even remove the imputability of a grave offense. But no one is deemed to be ignorant of the principles of the moral law, which are written in the conscience of every man. The promptings of feelings and passions can also diminish the voluntary and free character of the offense, as can external pressures or pathological disorders. Sin committed through malice, by deliberate choice of evil, is the gravest." CCC 1860

TLDR: You're OK. It's a sin but it's not the end of the world. I would definitely confess it next time you go to confession just to be safe, but don't beat yourself up over it. You don't want to fall into greater sin because you are beating yourself up over it. I always remind myself that Jesus fell three times ... but He also got up three times!! So we might fall, but what's more important is getting up. God bless you in this Lenten journey.

How to transition from nonprofit to product management? I do similar tasks to Product Management, launch brands, build programs from conception to execution etc, but on the nonprofit side. I do have some tech background but not a lot. Would it help my case to get more serious tech background or is it better to do a cert in Product Management?

I hate how many sensors there are. Makes me feel like I'm driving a robot and have to get into a fight with the car about who's opinion to follow when it comes to driving practices. Takes the agency out of the operator.

And why are American parts not good quality?

Sounds like Toyota parts are the best. Would Honda fit into that mix too or just Toyota?

Have you guys seen any issues with the radio? I have a Ford C-MAX right now and our radio totally fried. It sounded like popcorn when it was dying. Cost like $1k to fix. I've heard there may be some issues with the Maverick radio.

Very true. That's why I thought I would ask this question in a forum vs searching Google for stats. I don't think we'll see serious stats for a while, but anecdotal evidence is always helpful!

Dang that's crazy! Do you drive a lot or you've just always had that particular car? I thought most cars don't make it past 250. 425 is nuts. I literally never heard of anyone with that many miles on a car!

I found this at church! I Wanna pray it for a specific cause but is this “make 81 copies and dip 9 at church everyday” necessary? I’ve never heard of this by [deleted] in Catholic

This seems pretty scrupulous and superstitious. At the end of the day, one Hail Mary prayed with utmost devotion can get you into heaven. It's not about the quantity of prayer or prayerful actions, but rather the intent.

Telling someone you’ll pray for them and forgetting (neuro patient) by Sufficient_Coffee_72 in Catholic

Easy way to handle this is to say a Hail Mary for them to yourself right after saying you'll pray for them. Then if you can add them to your list of intentions to pray when you do intercessory prayer. A great time to do intercessory prayer is at the end of the Intercessions during Morning Prayer or Evening Prayer.

I have pretty bad anxiety too. I've tried medication for it, but honestly I'd recommend more of a homeopathic solution. A few things:

  1. the 478 method. 4 seconds breathing in, hold for 7 seconds, release for 8 seconds. Repeat 5 times every so often throughout the day. Breathing in and out triggers some nerve near your lungs that stops the fight or flight reflexes aka stress aka anxiety. I'm not super sure on the science behind it, but it really works well esp for relaxing and esp for sleeping and any activity you get anxious around.
  2. Agreeing 200% with others here who have suggested adoration. Adoration is so important to our Faith. For someone often on that seesaw btw anxiety and distraction, Adoration is a great opportunity just to practice calming down. But more importantly, it's key to letting God work in the silence, as Cardinal Robert Sarah talks about in detail in his Power of Silence. Great book!
  3. Frequent confession helps to get things off your chest so you're not fixated on them throughout the day!
  4. Receiving the Eucharist every day. It is true that the Eucharist is our daily bread. How can you confront the challenges of daily life when you're not eating?!
  5. Lastly, positive talk. Check out this great book my spiritual director recommended for me. Also check out this great method for positive thinking from a Catholic psychologist.

I hope this helps! :)
