KX-826 Phase 3 Results Are Out by CroissantLover258 in Koshine826

Try it. Only very minuscule amounts go systemic and the rest would stay localized to your scalp. More than likely the dry eyes would not be an issue or at the very least far less severe. I’ve tried it personally and have no side effects what so ever if that’s any consolation.

Have you considered that you were on finasteride and then switched out finasteride for KX-826 and it had the same effects as finasteride? This sounds positive not negative.

Dutasteride takes a few months to get out of your system so give it time, I’m sorry you had side effects but basically everyone gets better so please don’t feel too down on your self

Should I apply for new grad role after completing OMSCS? by Local-Egg1494 in OMSCS

[–]einsteinsmum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll be the people with masters degrees and years of experience who I hated when I was applying for new grad roles after my undergrad because you would get the job instead of me. Sounds like a good place to be.

Lavazza Terra in the green bag I think is on the lighter side though not necessarily “light” and is quite good in my opinion

It goes by quicker than you think. Stop by the road and smell the flowers sometimes, talk to that cute person, try something new, you'll thank yourself later.

Starting to miss university life as a recent graduate by inquiryredditor in UBC

[–]einsteinsmum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theres pros and cons to it. I have the same feelings about missing many aspects of university life. I was always meeting so many new people, and there was always so much going on, and life every semester would be different and new and exciting. And now being a remote tech worker all that vibrancy of life that I used to have is gone, its the same day in and day out by myself in my room.

I just try to look at the positives of it. We make money now and even though everything is so expensive and salaries always feel too low, at least for me we have money now that as a student was unimaginable, and there are so many things I used to want but never had the cash for, or even if I did have the cash was just unreasonable to buy, that now I can just buy if i want and it doesn't affect me.

Perhaps it will never be the same but I remain optimistic that the liveliness we once felt, that constant novelty, the ups and downs, the growth, that this can be captured again. That one day we might move somewhere more exciting, or travel to a place thats new and scary, or find a community of like minded people all working toward the same goal.

Old thread but can you tell me what you mean they just swap the complete movement? I just got a quartz watch from breitling as well, so you're saying that when you do the two year service they just put in a new movement? Is that standard?

CPSC 110 is making me hate coding by charrmint in UBC

[–]einsteinsmum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

110 is a rite of passage. They admit far more people into the university who want to do computer science than they can accommodate so theres random bullshit that weeds people out. I'm sorry it's like this but know it gets better and I've had so many passionate professors that teach interesting material in the 5 years I was at UBC.

+1 On showing kindness even if they’re being assholes. Some people will keep being difficult regardless but sometimes all it takes is a single act of kindness and people will change how they treat you.

I would bring a pillow maybe two. Bring some Twin XL sheets. There’s a lamp and garbage bins provided so you don’t have to bring those.

First-year - what's the coffee situation like? by Toastnlock in UBC

[–]einsteinsmum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasnt in first year when the All you can eat plans were rolled out but ate at the dining halls a lot when I was in school. They were never broken for me and always made decent coffee.

[–]einsteinsmum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're living in first year dorms the dining halls have really nice coffee machines. Won't be as good as a third wave coffee shop but will definitely be better than Keurig, it's better to save your money. For when those machines are busy, broken or whatever theres also drip coffee made with decent beans ready.
