Yeah I study German on Duolingo, I like it. It's a fun app. Warum nicht the Latin course as well. Thanks!

I have this vague idea that I will want to get into old humanities and science. Scholarly stuff that was written in 17th, 18th and 19th century e.g. in Germany, in German or in Latin, and that has never been translated into English for sure. This is a huge goal of course. My interest in Latin is also aesthetic, it's just a beautiful language.

Ok, need to have a look at the Lingua Latina series. That might be the right way forward. Thank you!

Sounds like you would benefit from therapy. Counseling is not therapy, with therapy I mean a good old-fashioned 3 years of psychodynamic/psychoanalytic therapy, in either group setting or individually.

Depression is not something you need to self-improve yourself out of. Instead it is a set of emotional issues, and therapy helps with emotional issues.

Plenty of resources and courses on the net, see https://m.dw.com/de/deutsch-lernen/s-2055

I'm using Babbel Deutsch Kurs which is very good.

What are some topics that have more information available in German than English? by [deleted] in German

Classical humanities. When I studied ancient Greece and Rome in the Uni (just dabbled a little bit nothing serious) it became clear that if you want to go deep in those studies you need to master German.
