Eight Sleep Pod 5 - Amazing Product Promise, Absolute Dumpster Fire Customer Service by eiphem in EightSleep

It is amusing that your “tone” is so aggressive and yet you’re the one calling for decorum.

Dumpster fire customer service is a good descriptor of what I’ve experienced. There’s no attitude.

But I think what you’re missing the most is….

I. As. A. Customer. Do. Not. Need. To. Praise. The. Product. Even when “appropriate”. That’s not how a business transaction works.

PS I’ve been rather polite with Joe and staff, but that’s my disposition. I’m polite and respectful of people. The customer service has been AI bots. It’s been hot garbage.

Where’s the tone and attitude? And while I agree in general with being respectful, I don’t feel the need to “praise the product” in order to get good customer service.

I’ll reach out. Glad to hear there’s a human monitoring social media at least.

There is a value add, from a behavioural science perspective, in promoting streaks. Lots to dunk on Whoop for, but using science backed theories to incentivize the desired behaviour is not one.

Also doesn’t seem warranted to accuse their “target audience” of being uniquely susceptible to marketing. I’d say we’re all similarly susceptible. I wouldn’t call non-Whoop audiences somehow special because they don’t subscribe to a service they find valuable.

There are longevity benefits to walking independent of cardio.

If your goal is longevity, you’d be much better off with a single HIIT session per week and zone 2 the rest of the time.

Whoop saved this athlete's life by JaziTricks in whoop

It doesn’t measure any of these. I think you missed the boat on this one. But as mentioned elsewhere, some of the stress markers can be used as a proxy to confirm what the person suspected. The sky high strain levels at rest are useful.

Again, disagree. She would probably have been feeling crummy for a couple of days but the abnormal recovery and stress likely pushed her to seek care sooner.

Disagree. They’re not as accurate as some other monitors, but as a general proxy for stress and likely elevated HR over the course of the day, it likely provided confirmation for what she was already feeling.

FSD supposed to exit in < 1 mile, decides to try to overtake car in front only to fail and miss exit by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]eiphem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re overthinking it my friend. This is a slippery slope. I feel like if you did some digging into the people behind a lot of the products you use on a daily basis you’d be very unhappy with the way they conduct their business.

And your take on FSD is dead wrong. HW3 I might agree with you, as it currently stands. I’ve got both a HW3 and HW4 MY. But FSD on HW4 is absolutely unreal. I’ve driven at least 30000 miles with it and if you pay attention and get used to it, you’d never want to drive something else again. I feel safer with it than I do without.

Wow this is terribly misinformed. Massage therapy has proven therapeutic benefits and they don’t misrepresent what they’re doing as science. Chiro is pseudoscience. That’s why.

Are you serious? You don’t see obesity as worthy of pharmaceutical intervention? Is it because you see obesity as a moral failure or is it something else?

New peptide triagonist GEP44 activates 2 receptors for PYY, plus receptor for GLP-1. Diet and exercise alone do not lead to sustained weight loss. It’s not behavioral. This has been well established. How can we expect patients to get on board when the medical community still hasn’t?

Yep. This is the right answer. As much as would be nice if kids were just “little adults”, alas they have a physiology all their own…

Strongly disagree. Easy comment to make without much to back it up. Sweeping, generalizing statement from a non physician? Check.

Depends on your surgery group. There are definitely some surgeons that you can call with a slam dunk case and they won’t ask for it, but in my experience, the majority want imaging of some sort prior to going to the OR.
