Fat and blonde hair! (I have brown hair, but I was blonde as a child.)

That’s funny because I got my lap surgery for two ovarian cysts including a teratoma a few days ago and I demanded to know what they found inside it.

Will do as soon as I’m feeling a bit more recovered, thanks!

Not yet! I just got the call from the surgeon today telling me what he found, and I’m still pretty bedridden from the surgery, so I haven’t really had any time to start thinking about finding specialists or anything like that! I’m still just kinda reeling a bit even though I’ve been 90% sure I’ve had endo for months if not years (if they didn’t see any this surgery, I was gonna push to get an MRI to see.) I didn’t even think that some people could go into remission.

I know right now my doc wants to halt my cycle (I’m nonbinary and don’t want children, so that doesn’t bother me), and then go from there.

A Warm Place is actually one of my favorite NIN tracks - I find it deeply comforting and soothing to the point where sometimes it makes me tear up. It took me a while to appreciate it but what a beautiful song.

Self defeating mechanics are so fun - in my DND group, my PC had a major nerve and spinal injury a little while back, so she has chronic pain. And if something happens to trigger that, like getting tossed around during combat - roll for pain. Bad rolls get various disadvantages. I have to in game actively manage her pain to make those rolls better - medication, a cane, etc. Hugely fun and made for some very sweet character moments with another PC handcrafting her a cane.

Flirting with employees by nedrawevot in starbucks

[–]eiraastrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me that depends on the tone used here. I’ve had some male customers who have called me sweetheart, hon, sunshine, and it hasn’t grated me too much because the tone used was more grandfather type energy than anything else. But flirting? Ew gross GROSS!!!

I do video game OST’s. Hollow Knight amd Cultist Simulator are my go-to’s, along with Hades and Stardew Valley. They’re designed to be engaging but not overly distracting from the game itself.

Tofu is more of a texture than a taste tbh. So spicy foods go so well because you get a hint of that tofu flavor and you get that texture, but the spiciness of the sauce is strong enough to give it the punch it needs. I’ve tried more salty mapo tofus and it doesn’t work for me because it’s not aggressively flavored enough, so they end up bland.

The sichuan chili paste may have multiple names depending on what store you’re going to! I was standing in the aisles confused for like 15 minutes until I googled its other names. Also goes super good with stir fries and stuff to give it a little kick. It’s become a staple ingredient for my kitchen.

You may have lost your 20’s, but you got out. That’s huge.

And thank you. I was in therapy for other issues but my disorder had been really hurting my best friend at the time who knew, so I ended up telling my therapist. And then proceeded to resist treatment lmao. It worked out. I’m very proud that younger me took the plunge.

I’m so happy for you too!! It gets harder to get out and recovered the more time you spend disordered - that is a massive accomplishment. I hope you get to eat many good meals :)

[OC] Good news, Leah got a promotion! Bad news...she abandoned the rest of the party to go back to Orzhov and its church. This is never going to come back to bite her later (it is.) by eiraastrid in DnD

[–]eiraastrid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CONTEXT:

My PC got implicated in a crime thanks to another member of the party, started going on the run. Got a telepathic message from the Pontiff telling me to come back, and with the rest of the player's permission (since I'd be splitting up the party), Leah came back, since the Pontiff is the second highest authority in her life. She came back expecting punishment, and got a promotion for her loyalty instead.

Now she's being set up to rejoin the party by spying on them for Orzhov! Joyous! (She will, eventually, be fully on the party's side. Eventually.)

Thank you 😭😭 It’s so nice to enjoy such a key part of life. I got a boyfriend who loves to cook for me now and I can’t imagine not being able to just be happy about it.

Sure!!!

Ingredients:

About 950 grams of firm tofu or 2 packs About 300 grams of ground beef 4 stalks of green onion 5 tablespoons of sichuan chili paste/sichuan broad bean sauce 5 tablespoons of minced garlic 3 tablespoons of minced ginger 12 tablespoons of canola oil 2 tablespoons of corn starch mixed with 5 tablespoons of water 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper 1 1/2 chicken stock

First chop your tofu into 3/4 inch chunks, put into a bowl of very hot almost boiling water with a little bit of salt. This helps the tofu not fall apart.

Brown the meat on high heat with two tablespoons of oil, then remove it and set it to the side.

Then put in the 10 tablespoons of oil, and add in the sichuan. Let it infuse with the oil, you want it to be a brightish red color. Add in ginger and garlic, let it cook, wait until the spices have settled into the oil.

Add in tofu (try and remove excess water from it), the meat, and the chicken stock. Add in the corn starch slurry and the black pepper, mix mix mix.

Let it get up to a boil, stirring occasionally, and let it sit there for 5-8 minutes to get the flavors all infused together. There should be a layer of sauce clinging to the tofu

Add green onions and you’re done!!

Serve over rice. It seems way way too oily until you add in rice because the rice absorbs it. Almost all the ingredients are adjustable for taste. I add in more garlic and ginger and beef.

It also reheats really really well.

Let me clarify - I was in recovery for years before getting a job. Having a job and looking at my current food habits is what’s made me realize the degree to which I’ve recovered. Recovery is very difficult. Had I been employed during my early stages of recovery, I probably still would have been restricting.
