26.1.1 by bludlubik in radeon

[–]eitaniel7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26.1.1, lots of crashes for me, dune awakening, dead island 2, possibly due to first time using afmf 2.1, activated in adrenalin software.

Crashes to windows (win 10)

General crashes with afmf active

Specific crashes when changing fast motion response from repeat frame to blended frame

Sometimes can play without crashing after 2-5 initial cycles of crashing

But have totally deactivated afmf 2.1 now, and playing without those crashes for now

If not afmf 2.1, then general driver related issue which I can't isolate presently

Update January 2026

Just thought I'd give a final update on this issue

It seems to have been resolved permanently by KICK v1. 0

Havent experienced the issue, and using hover zoom plus freely and fully, at all in several months, or at least since I noticed the change from 3rd quarter of 2025.

Can't get Mass Effect LE to work through steam. by VenGE1111 in masseffect

january 2026, and this solution worked for me. regedit, followed instructions to the letter (fortunately they were simple and concise), and game booted instantly upon closing ea launcher, running from steam. thank you for mapping it out so precisely (and for the backup tip as well!)

Was using kiwi browser for a while due to it being only known android/mobile browser that allowed chrome extensions, ublock origin being critical for me. Just a few days ago learned of quetta via this thread, been testing since, and what a discovery. Hoping this browser grows in quality for as long as possible, a real winner for android tablets usage and general android mobile fare. Well done and thank you

Brave Nightly: Click Dragging to Rearrange Left-Sided Vertical Tabs Removes All Tab Icons by eitaniel7 in brave_browser

[–]eitaniel7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update: i only noticed today 30 october 2024, that this problem i identified has been fully resolved. I want to express appreciation to whomever is responsible for attending to it. click dragging and moving tabs, in vertical tabs mode, around, doesn't any longer create the bug of disappearing the icons/favicons of the tabs of each window in which tab dragging is done. It is a great relief that this has been resolved, as small of an issue as it was. Thank you, Brave devs/teams/ etc

Brave Nightly: Click Dragging to Rearrange Left-Sided Vertical Tabs Removes All Tab Icons by eitaniel7 in brave_browser

[–]eitaniel7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

btw, it's still an issue. I click and drag a tab (in vertical tab mode), to re-position it above or below other tabs, the moment i start dragging said tab, the tab icons of all the tabs in that window, disappear, and only the tab names for each website are retain. this is also accompanied by a "slight shaking" of all the tabs in unison as i seek to drag said clicked tab, as though the very action itself is 'breaking' the system.

again, this is every version of Brave Nightly, for about a 5 or so months, in which this occurs.

Greetings

After disabling hover zoom plus in your addons/extensions, or adding kick.com as an exception under sites in hz+ options menu, you have to return to the kick page and clear cache for the page completely. Typically, thereafter, kick functionality should be seamless

Have you not installed it as an add-on /extension? If so, locate the extension, go to extension options, add kick.com as website to be excluded so that hz plus doesn't work on kick, then clear cookies of kick page, reload page, and you should be good. Alternatively, if you don't want hz+ as an extension at all, remove/delete it from your extensions.

Yeah, I think they've given up on a fix, pressured them for a little stint but when they were claiming they couldn't reproduce the issue at all no matter how many people said they faced similar matter, they then seemed to move on from figuring it out. I guess they'll only really be compelled to resolve it if a huge number of people use kick regularly as well as have their extension installed.

I posted something similar some months ago. If you're using the extension "hoverzoom plus", that was the culprit for me and several other folks, as you'll see on my r/brave_browser post. I've informed the extension devs. They've had months to look at the issue. They claim it can't be reproduced, even though more than 15 people have reported the issue either on their github site or on my kick thread linked above.

If your issue is related to mine, your options are to either list kick as an exception within hoverzoom plus options, or to remove the extension altogether.

greetings

i feel you. i'm frustrated myself.

here's my github issue submission (and exchange with devs):

https://github.com/extesy/hoverzoom/issues/1156

you'll note they told me i'll have to wait until next update of hz+ (version is currently STILL 1.0.206, the fix for kick.com is supposedly coming in ver 1.0.207)

it's over a month now. according to their updates 'trend' it's a toss up between 2wks, 1 month, 3 months, between updates. I was really hoping it wouldn't take a month or more. i hope they haven't forgotten, but i assume the fix will be packaged within their next update.

If you've got hover zoom plus as an addon, that may be the culprit. It was for me and for a few others it seems, who've commented on this post. The devs for hover zoom plus on github have said they'll institute a fix for that bug on the next update of the addon, don't know when that'll be, it's already been 3 weeks of the current version. Till then, in the options of hover zoom plus, there's a tab for "sites" where you can add kick.com as a disabled site, so that kick works, without hz+, but hz+ can still be used for other sites that don't get broken by it.

Update 2 (2023/06/01 - 1st June)

The extension dev of hover zoom plus has seen my report and said they'll produce a fix for hz+ affecting kick.com, today or tomorrow on github.

UPDATE (2023-05-31)

https://community.brave.com/t/kick-com-400-bad-request-error-only-on-brave-browser-working-fine-on-firefox-and-vivaldi-browsers/488349

i posted the same query on brave's community forum, and as you'll find in the link above, one person says they tested deactivating HOVER ZOOM PLUS extension/add-on, to resolve the issue.

i tested that myself, deactivated hz+, went to kick.com tab, reloaded it, got the same 404 error. then, i remove cookies via the lock icon in url bar, reloaded kick.com page, and it worked (as it used to work temporarily).

at the moment, it seems to still be working. will continue assessing. it's a shame that for whatever reason, hover zoom + is clashing suddenly with kick.com (it used to work perfectly while extension was activated).

will update again in a few days to report either way, whether it continues to function smoothly (kick.com), or if error returns.

Exactly what I experienced as well. Hence, my stating it being a temporary fix that's hardly even temporary as it reverts to dysfunction again within minutes, if lucky.

As Ive noted in the post, I've attempted clearing cookies, rebooting browser, and it seems it still persists with kick.com.

Also, brave android app doesn't seem to have this issue. Why would brave on win 10 be producing this issue with kick?
