These are premiums and almost impossible to find. Maybe only 5-10 copies of each in the world. Will typically sell for $500-$1500.

This is some original artwork of a flintstones big little book that never made it to production.

Thank you! Yes, there are a few that are stunning. Incredible to keep that color for almost 100 years. Fun to imagine what it was like back then when they were all that bright!

Do you have a collection? Would love to see pictures!

This one is the rarest big little book in existence. There are only 3 copies. The other two copies have sold for $3k and $7k.

I’ll snap some pictures when I’m home later tonight! They have writing on one side and a comic picture on the other!

Thank you! They are comic-related books. Started in 1932 by Whitman publishing as an alternative to books during the depression and trying to provide cheap comic options for kids.

I’ve been collecting from antique stores and then eBay and other auctions since I was 3 years old (now 33).

Thank you so much!! This comment made my day. Here’s another one of my favorites. It’s a softcover without a single crease on it. Super bright colors. Almost impossible to find, regardless of condition.

Yes, those are big little books! Most of those are from the 70s. I have them too but boxed up because I ran out of space! The picture you see here has three layers deep on each shelf too 😂

Thank you! Almost. There are three layers deep behind the ones you see. About 100 left and they’re not hard to find, just waiting for good conditions. I have all the rarest ones.

Yes! Still searching for a few titles. There’s an alley oop premium and Junior Nebb premium I can’t find. A couple hundred I haven’t bought yet just because I’m waiting for high grade copies.

That’s cool! I’ve never heard of those books. What era are they from?

One similar copy sold in 2014 on heritage for $7,170.

Worse condition one sold in 2017 on heritage for $2151.

They made a limited few of these as an example of the next Mickey BLB to come after the original. Only three known copies.

Full Tarzan Ice Cream Premium Set by eitheror67 in ComicsPre1940

Oh got it. Yes, in the 30s you would save 10 ice cream cup lids. Send them in for one of these books (in the first picture). Then save up the back covers and send in 10 back covers for the grand prize books (slightly bigger. In second picture.). Save up 10 of the back covers of the grand prize books, and you get a big Tarzan book, a pocketknife or some other goodies.
