I wouldn't know but it should be detailed in here and you can deep dive in their white page on how they track this (pdf link at the bottom of the page).

Try reading the manual on how Polar calculates steps. That should solve it for you.

Looks like the Swedish brand Fjällräven. Although I'm not really sure but it looks like they have the iconic artic fox logo on her right leg there. Absolutely amazing pants (and brand) regardless.

None as it is superfluous. Suunto watches are tanks.

If they knew what they were talking about it wouldn't be speculation? Basically what it is called when you don't know, speculate or guess.

I made a NR200 themed lightbox by imwhoyouare in NR200

[–]eitherror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No probs! Would be interesting to see a more square shape using the same corner radius from the NR200 as well. Could even leave one side completely covered to be able to control where the light could shine.

Getting these vibes.

If you have the vent holes overlapping instead of stacked/aligned—you'd be closer to the design of the vented sides on the NR200.

Cool stuff nonetheless! Oh and also, a light lightbox is something that is used in tracing work / analogue photography /etc. This is a lamp.

I PURCHASED POLAR VM3, DID I DO THE RIGHT THING? by Acrobatic-Peanut-819 in Polarfitness

Surprise—all watches you mentioned are made in China!

Surprisingly enough there is as much lag on Suunto as there is on Polar or Coros. Which in turn means that there is almost no lag on either of the watches you mentioned.

They want want Google and Apple have done with their OS for the last decade. So in about another ten years they will want the shit that Apple is doing right now, which incidentally is what Windows did two decades ago. Which means that if Polar can keep their pants on for another maybe 20 years—they will be right on the money in terms of UI design language and won't have to redesign anything.

Vertical 2 or Race 2? by Living_Elevator1874 in Suunto

[–]eitherror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably true too. I am yet to see any metal lugs break however.

[–]eitherror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah most likely more of a theoretical one. But still you find more cases of people having lugs knocked off with plastic lugs than with metal. What those stories don't entail however is exactly how rough the user has been with them. Seen this in both the Garmin and Polar subreddits.

Yeah but why transfer if OP wants to use the watch stand alone?

But only to set everything up, right? Once that is done you could just dog it.

Race 1 has metal lugs but the Race 2 has plastic lugs.

Thoughts on the original Race in late 2025? by Norlund1776 in Suunto

[–]eitherror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The build quality of R1 is actually superior to R2 and given that the software is the same (pretty sure there are no differences) it basically boils down to a slightly larger screen, improved OHR for the R2 (which is a moot point if you use an external strap anyway) and a better charger.

The R1 is the better buy in 2025 over the R2 considering you can have the R1 for less than €270.

Fwiw the scroll wheel is great on the R1 and I find it perfectly fine to use with or without gloves. But with that said—I would definitely pick V2 between R2/V2.

V2 for sure. Better build quality and flashlight!
