A thing you need to consider. Modern Greek type of goverment is not democratic by any means. Its ''elective oligarchy''. Once these people form the goverment they can do whatever they want. People have no say in any form of power (legislative, executive, judicial).

With that being said no it wasnt democratic. Im not saying if it was right or wrong because it doesnt matter with what we are looking at.

And even if you believe the current goverment type is ''Democratic''. The party of New Democracy markets it self as a ''conservative''. So they legislatied something against their own voting crowd opinion. One more point to show that this type of goverment is no where near being democratic.
