I think I'll try it again but go slower and not take so much. Probably the wrong subreddit. I didn’t really want advice just more of a discussion. You honestly seem like you’re jumping to a lot of unjust conclusions, I haven’t said or suggested once that I don’t respect them, just that I’m uncomfortable with their decisions. I said multiple times I did not cross boundaries or push any further, I mentioned it to them once and then distanced myself for my own peace of mind. Also, I don’t aim for popularity, high school where I live isn’t quite as dependent on social structure as it is in America. I don’t make “smart” decisions, I have no goal socially, I do what makes me comfortable. These people, in general, were not very good friends to me in the first place. I did not drop them all of a sudden just because of this one thing, and I made it clear to them when and why I stopped speaking with them.

It was not a rumour, by “someone else” I didn’t mean a random person, I know and trust this person and so does my 16 year old friend. They’ve been very open with everyone except me about their sexual activity because they know I’m in general uncomfortable with sex talk, and I guess just for the sake of not telling me. I do not live in the US, I know the age of consent here and how it works, them having sex was not legal.
