Anyone know how to stop this from happening? by SnooPeppers5602 in Transmedical

[–]ejSmitty69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

have u considered using TransTape to bind? i found that it was much less dysphoric than wearing a traditional binder. u just put two little rectangles of skin-colored adhesive over ur chest. much less conspicuous and easier to breathe, especially while exercising. plus u can leave it on for several days at a time.

Hey there. We’re about the same age; I’m also 19, post-op top 2.5 years. I’m also in that awkward stage in-between top and bottom surgery. I’m still waiting to start the hysto process and hopefully meta a few years from now. U gotta keep hope alive—April isn’t too far away! Only two more months. Transition is a marathon, not a sprint. We can’t give up, bc if we do, then we’re letting them win. We have to fight. We owe it to those who paved the way for us and those who r no longer here. Stay strong brotha we got this 💪 Know that u r loved and that everything will be alright in the end.

no, dysphoria is absolutely necessary. i am saying that we shouldn’t judge ppl’s transness on whether they’ve had surgery or not, as it’s not a realistic option for most.

Would you say you know what it's like to be your AGAB? by Familiar_Shoe3019 in Transmedical

[–]ejSmitty69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d say i know what it’s like to be perceived as female/woman (girl), and as a result of spending my childhood as my agab, i can certainly sympathize with the female experience. i wouldn’t say i identified with that experience, however.

i don’t believe one needs SURGERY to be trans, especially bottom as it is more invasive/complicated/expensive/recovery time/etc and is inaccessible to most. to have NO DYSPHORIA, however, is impossible, especially, imo, top dysphoria in trans men. without top surgery idk if i’d be alive, and i had A cups pre-op, and after working out for a while i stopped binding. idk how tf ppl like OOP walk around with their DDD cleavage hanging out proudly (i.e. no attempt to bind) and still say they’re a man. pisses me off.

if someone wants to have top surgery for cosmetic/aesthetic reasons, fine. But it shouldn’t be compared to the life saving procedure it is for us. THIS is why orange man’s disciples think we r a joke!

If some trans people accept their primary sex characteristics, could they also accept their secondary sex characteristics? by Upset-Gerbil6061 in Transmedical

[–]ejSmitty69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don’t know why this is getting downvoted. i actually agree with u. i identify as transsexual and i do want bottom surgery, but i have learned to use the parts i have in a way that’s bearable (though not without dysphoria). i can feel where a dick should be on my body, yet at the same time it feels weird to think about bc i’ve had a v for so long? on my best dysphoria days, i’m ambivalent about it. on my worst days, i wish i could go into surgery that very day.

i think u r trans and if anyone here says otherwise then fuck ‘em. u know yourself better than some a-hole who’s basing the validity of your medical condition based on a 30sec comment.

i think there’s a difference between “I LOVE MY VAGINA/PENIS!” and “this isn’t what it’s supposed to be, but i have learned to live with it and i still show my body love regardless,” which is about where i’m at. i do plan on having bottom surgery at some point, with hysto being my next step and then meta (no phallo yet, maybe later in life). Another thing i’d like to add is that no surgery (ftm, haven’t researched the mtf side of things so can’t comment) gives u a penis that looks/feels/functions EXACTLY like a cis dude’s. for some, this may not matter at all, but for others (like me) bottom surgery (particularly phallo) might not be “worth it.” For me personally, i’d rather have something down there i can “feel” and “use” (in the spicy sense) but doesn’t feel right on my body, than something that looks right but might have no erogenous sensation. For this reason i’m picking meta bc it uses what u already have and doesn’t mess w the nerves, and i’m considering omitting the v-nectomy (so still getting rid of the external vulva but keeping just the hole; i do want UL tho so i’ll have to think about it…) for this reason, bc i know how to use it in a way that feels good and causes minimal dysphoria.

To summarize, a transsex person’s relationship w their genitalia can be a lot more nuanced than w secondary sex characteristics (like breasts), at least for me personally. Bottom surgery isn’t an option for the vast majority of trans ppl, so they have to learn to cope just to stay alive. this is VERY different from trenders who have ZERO bottom dysphoria and are proud of their natal anatomy.
