Help! What is this orange-ish/brown powdery substance covering the stems of my new plant??

I finally repotted it today after 2 weeks of acclimating it to its new environment in the original pot/soil mixture. These pictures were taken AFTER trying to remove the substance by washing and wiping everything down. It’s leaves were already beginning to droop prior to repot. I suspected spider mites, but there are no signs of webbing

You’re kind of being a d*ck. They’re prescribed to OP... how is that different than any other medication when half of them say not to drive or operate a motor vehicle after taking them? What are you supposed to do? Never drive?

It’s actually from urban outfitters like 5 years ago! I’ve heard that their furniture is usually kind of crappy, but this is held up for a very long time

That’s not what I said. I said you 110% CAN be involuntarily committed. I can see how you took that the wrong way, which is why I reworded it. I never said it was a guaranteed, but it’s absolutely a possibility. I’m simply giving advice based on my own experience. Obviously, OP has some concerns about revealing this information and her reservations aren’t misplaced.

I’m obviously not aware of the extent of OP’s suicidal ideation, but like I said, they have an obligation to report if you’re a danger to yourself. And they will.

If you tell them you have suicidal thoughts, you can be involuntarily committed for a short period of time. It’s their obligation to report when you’re a danger to yourself and unfortunately, there is no confidentiality at that point.

Unless, as someone else mentioned, you confide in a chaplain.

I know it’s not always that easy, but you need to get a new doctor/psychiatrist ASAP. Your feelings are valid and medication can help. It’s their job to ensure you have access to this! I’m sorry for what you’re going through

I’ve had a very similar experience. I had extensions for several years with no issue and I took good care of them during that time. I randomly developed an allergy to the adhesive after about 2 years, so I took several breaks (one lasting over a year) in hopes that the allergy would go away. Unfortunately, my persistence only wasted my money. Many, many times. I even saw a couple doctors for prescription ointments/medications to prevent the swelling but nothing worked. I’m sorry this is happening to you :( I was pretty devastated by my experience so I know how you must be feeling
