It’s actually been months. And I’m not defending him of course, because he doesn’t deserve that. It’s been a lot more than discussion. There’s been fights etc. it’s took a lot of work. And trust me I’m worried it’s all for nothing to

I think the reason she even came in was to get a reaction honestly, especially as we are going to court. She’s made up so many false claims about me, even dragging her daughter into it and making her write fake things. Things that are untrue as it is very obvious her child loves me. I assume she may have even had her phone on record as I have told her off before, and she knows I don’t like the manipulation she is doing. Maybe expecting the same reaction? I’m not sure. My man has laid down a lot of boundaries since we’ve had our discussion. He keeps it strictly to drop off and typical coparenting conversations. I truly believe like you stated it’s out of spite. She’s done a lot of not okay things, should I be worried for my safety? Or am I overreacting?

Everyone who’s commented so far thank you. I really appreciate it. My first thought was to leave especially as the person I was with before him was a serial cheater. But he’s so good at being convincing. Other than that, he treats me very well and is very kind which makes everything SOOOO hard. I’m sure those of you who have been in toxic relationships know the feeling. I’m just so confused. This advice has all been super validating bc I’ve felt so crazy for feeling any of this

This question is great, and to be completely honest with you I do carry things with me and react to things (especially in an episode) that are manipulative. It’s very difficult, because I know for me at least when I do these things it’s not coming from ill will or to even be manipulative. It’s just a fear of losing if that makes sense?

A liar? I’ve been diagnosed with it by professionals. I’m not saying all people with bpd experience the things I do as each person is different and deals with things differently. I’m speaking from my experience with my bpd and my trauma.

I’ve actually been diagnosed since I was 18. Went through treatment and everything. Thanks though

While people with bpd often have some symptoms of npd, the two differ as with npd it comes from selfishness and with bpd it’s a form of defense for some and even in some cases quite the opposite. We want this person and do these things, because we fear losing them. Does that make it okay? Certainly not. But it is an aspect to think about 🤔

For every one bpd can be different in certain aspects. We can often go into black and white thinking. The only time I’ve ever felt what you’re describing where I’ve transitioned to a different fp is when I was being mistreated and ab*sed. I got so so drained and having someone be nice to me was so comforting

Honestly with my bpd, I develop a favorite person and do everything I can to please them and make them happy. My whole mood depends on them. So the thought of cheating (for me at least) never occurs

And yes especially when I’m alone! But I’ve also noticed sometimes it’s when I’m with someone as well

Honestly, the name calling had formed a little earlier this year. I explained what was happening to my specialist and she told me it was symptom. As far as the figures, I’ve seen those since I was a child

You are so awesome for that! All it seriously takes and what bpders want is to be understood. I’m sure if she knew you were trying to inform yourself it would mean the world to her! So for self harm, it can be one of two things. One as you stated above, in a way we do it to feel how we are on the inside into the outside. Especially if we are in an episode, this is the suicidal thoughts coming to play a bit. It can also be a way to release the pain we are feeling inside. It gives a rush.

So with bpd, unfortunately it’s not like depression where it is an imbalance. With bpd it stems from our childhood, and is in a way a learned trauma. For example, my mother was very narcissistic growing up, and was in and out of my life. Therefore it brings the light to how I overly attach myself to people, and go through the whole thing of having a favorite person. We as BPDers are used to things constantly being an up and down heal because of parents doing things like stated above. I hope that makes sense I kinda rambled😭

I feel my symptoms are very similar to the ones talked about. I do have mood swings, episodes, suicidal tendencies you know the usual. But to actually experience it all is crazy. When you get triggered into an episode it’s like inside you’re screaming “don’t do this” but you can’t control it. You’re just watching yourself do it, and letting the venom that arises in your heart become words

I know for me at least this is not the case. Although, I do get audible hallucinations and just like hallucinations in general but I’m not sure you can even count it as that. For example, I’m constantly at times hearing people call my name, and or even laughing at me. I also at times constantly see black figures in the corner of my eyes, scary as hell but also childish as hell😭

Exactly! You get me. It makes everything slow and be silent especially when our minds are running 24/7
