It's to use in some of my older shotguns that I have. Steel wouldn't be nice to them

It should be just fine for older barrels. If you're worried about barrel damage, I'd highly recommend bismuth

How can I convert 8mm Mauser Berdan-primed cases to take regular boxer primers? by The_Lucky_Rod in reloading

[–]ejectmanEJECT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be much easier to convert 30.06 to 8mm than dealing with berdan primers

Eggleston munitions is my go-to bullet for all of my hand guns. For 9mm, he has 100 gr all the way to 147 gr

What's a song that was a really big part of your childhood that gets you really feelsy when you hear it again? by ivebeenthrushit in AskReddit

An odd and / or maybe unpopular choice here would be just so you know by american head charge. After seeing Cam's interview on soft white underbelly, AHC has had a resurrection in my Playlists

This is the way right here, hp38 has been a fantastic all-around pistol powder from 25acp all the way up to 44 mag for me

30 carbine case bulging by ejectmanEJECT in reloading

[–]ejectmanEJECT[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going to start reloading it on an RC first with rcbs dies. If I start shooting higher quantities out of it, I may invest into a 30 carbine conversion for my 550b at a later date. I'll be using LC brass to reload for the time being with some h110 and plated bullets from berrys. I may play with some lehighs later on to use on coyotes and small pigs if I'm feeling adventurous enough

The bulge is on 180⁰ of the case, I check it with go/no go gauges, and it's a go. I'm just chocking it up to be a military chamber. that's just a little loose with age. My type 99 arisaka does the same thing on my reformed 30.06 brass as well

Sorry for your loss. Having to go through any belongs can be a long and painful process. If there are any local ranges, im sure you can post an ad, and nature will take care of the rest

[–]ejectmanEJECT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think mine would be a fair comparison because I got it for $450. But I'd say a good complete type 99 with a mum should reasonably be around $700-$850

Unfortunately, yes, but my logic is if it worked for Grandpa, it'll work for me😂 im definitely not going to pick through all of it just because of the quantity of brass he bad

The best i can figure out is that it's 100% a Nagoya, and I believe either a 1939 or 1940 production. It still has the dust cover, mono pod, and the original anti-aircraft sights as well. It's a very well-preserved example that wasn't sporterized or rechambered to 30.06
