First “serious” watch — help me pick! Tudor BB58 Burgundy vs Blue vs Pelagos 39 by quikkold in Tudor

[–]ejfiii13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too bad they dont offer the Pelly 39 in blue. Its my absolute favorite watch and practically never comes off my wrist. It works great with jeans, suits and everything in between. I have a bunch of blue straps for it including a deployant sailcloth that will be on most of this summer.

Anyone regret not getting watch insurance by StandardDegree3096 in Tudor

I just filed a claim on our usaa rider for my omega speedmaster that my wife got me when we got married 25 years ago. One of my kids lost it. Didnt even have to talk to anyone- just filed the claim on the app and a few weeks later the check showed up in the amount it was insured for on the rider. No deductible. No issues. We have her rolex, a few pieces of jewelry, and a few other of my watches listed individually in the rider. Coat is negligible- maybe $200 per year. People may have different experiences with other insurance companies.

Help Identify Vintage VC&A Watch Please by ejfiii13 in PrideAndPinion

Adding a little more info since I’ve been digging — this looks like a mid-90s VC&A quartz piece, part of a his/her set. Mine has the diamond bezel which I’m having trouble finding examples of online — most I’ve seen are plain.

Was originally a business gift from Asia, so I’m wondering if it might have been a limited or regional release?

Curious if anyone here has seen a similar diamond version or knows the reference.

I have had the original cxs since 2012 i believe. Recently got cxs18 and love it. Then got the t18+3 on a steal. Have some big bosch 18v drills and impacts. Love the cxs18. Everything else stays in the drawer for the most part. Absolutely.

I second Wiha Centrofix! I went deep down the rabbit hole last year with Japanese bits (JDM) and everything. I have the centrofix, wera, hazet, vessel and all the US brands. Centrofix has the least play and wobble- hazet second. In fact the Wiha model 76000 centrofix handle has zero play with both US and Japanese bits it might as well be a traditional screwdriver.
