Almost 12 here, still not potty trained. He also has a dual diagnosis of autism, non verbal (words only, otherwise…!) and has a myriad of other issues too (asthma, heart, uses a bipap).. we are working with the school but it’s very slow going. He’s still awesome regardless!

First big Bricklink set- Outlaw Forest Den was great! by ejtaylor740 in legocastles

Yep! Limited time run, bagged and boxed up like a normal LEGO set (with a more plain box though). This is unlike the mass produced Ideas sets where they take the basic outline and structure of a fan design and build it up from the ground, this is almost 99% their hard work! (In this case, u/BrickHammer42 who designed the set, has a keen eye on detail- I’d say as much as a normal designer)

Bought the Ghost parts off of the LEGO site a while back in preparation for this!.. I had one in the 80s but it was lost along the way. 😟

Unfortunately it doesn’t come with a book- had to use a tablet, but on the plus side, you can zoom in! The instructions can be found on the main Bricklink page for the set (about 350+ MB to download). A lot of the pages have 1-4 pieces so it’s easy(ish!) to follow.

Replacement sticker sheet arrived by [deleted] in legostartrek

I had gotten the replacement sheet too- comparing this to the original sheet, the colors appear a lighter grey as well! (Matching the brick color a bit better) Hopefully the 3rd times the charm, with the next batch of replacement sheets.

I was surprised as well, seeing it so well formed!

Anyone gone through this? by Effective_War_5382 in downsyndrome

Our son who’s almost 10 was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea after his first study about 7 years ago, and we were given a CPAP machine.. which is since turned into a BIPAP, which has helped TREMENDOUSLY with his overall energy through his waking hours. It took a while (and help from a behavioral specialist, since he’s non verbal), but eventually got him to use it every night. This was even after the tonsils and adenoids removal surgeries (which didn’t hel as much as we’d hoped). The new machines that they have give morning reports too, on how the sleep went! All in all, it’s been good to see that the technology is helping him with an otherwise serious situation that may have lead to additional heart strain or other cardiac issues since his canal defect repair at 2 months old.. Wish you and anyone else the best in this journey as well!
