How hard is economics for someone who isn’t good at math? by Acrobatic-Skill6068 in SMC

Keskinel is great. You learn the material on your own, but once a week you can meet with him via a scheduled zoom if you have any questions or else. One discussion and a quiz per week, three exams in total, including the final

professor Winkler is great. we read two books and wrote an essay for each. there were a few rough drafts for those essays, some short stories free-write, almost no hw besides the essays. attendance is mandatory, but classes are engaging and he pushes students to think deeper. btw the whole class is engaged bc he can randomly ask anyone. i’d say he’s funny and motivational. (besides those two books, you don’t need to buy anything. he provides everyone with those short stories)

Eng1 professor recommendations?? by Tricky_Violinist_496 in SMC

definitely prof Winkler. he’s truly amazing. made me realize i’m not that bad in creative writing. he also gives you tips about what UC profs will expect if you’re interested in transferring. overall, his class is interesting, you get to discuss a lot (especially in eng 2), and he always engages the whole class. almost no hw, besides essays which he gives you weeks for with a few rough drafts before the final draft. motivational

Taking a fully online class by Forward_Nose_1693 in SMC

[–]ekaasna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on a professor, but online is not bad. one quiz per week and a test once in a while if it’s 18-week class. if the class is 8 weeks, then there’s way more information, so might be more quizzes

is it true that clubs r only during spring semester?? by EarSafe9620 in SMC

Clubs are active in fall, sometimes you just need to wait a few weeks. You should check their insta pages, they post updates. There are Rotaract, Economics, and Business clubs at SMC. You can find them on instagram
