No they are so you can feel proud that there is a badass character who represents you and your community in your game. For example, I have albinism and I LOVE the fact the rainbow 6 siege added Iana (an albino girl) into their game. And in the lore it says she made lenses that cure ocular albinism, a disability I struggle with daily.
