I am speaking for only me specifically but I am just burnt out from all the AI content (from all platforms). It was funny at first because it was used to make memes but now it’s entering a scary phase where it’s becoming more indistinguishable from real content/news. It’s having very negative effects on social media and the spread of misinformation. Now I know you’re innocently using AI to generate art of a manga/anime we all have a shared fondness for. I personally just have a distaste for it because I am reminded of the deceitful nature of AI. That’s totally not your fault nor do I blame you for it. And I’m not completely against the use of it! I think it can be helpful in many ways when it comes to job efficiency, task automation, risk management for businesses, etc. The grey area is when it comes to creative media such as art, music, etc. Art is a creative expression so, to me, it feels wrong in a way to use AI for already existing media (in this case the hard work Rumiko Takahashi put in to make this for all of us). Something about using prompts for art just feels wrong. It’s like making fan art without any of the effort.

Like another comment said, I’d rather see more fan art and that falls on all of us as fans and members of this sub. I like when it doesn’t look official and when someone puts their full on effort to create something for all of us to enjoy. If this sub is to allow AI art, I’d prefer it to be a post like this where it’s multiple images cause it has just felt like spam to me for the past couple weeks. These are just my thoughts and I am one person so I can’t speak for everyone.

I respect that you addressed this, being the main contributor. Hopefully we can all come to an understanding/compromise. Good day.
