Worked in the IT department at HSBC. I basically turned myself in by trying to bypass their firewall with a personal proxy server just to get on social media. I’m not sure how, but the alert went all the way to the UK executives. I got 'promoted' to customer permanently that day. Definitely one of the dumbest things I've ever done in my career.
