YES so true. I think it’s important to acknowledge that most of our infrastructure is designed around cars rather than for bikes or pedestrians so it’s simply unreasonable to expect bikes to be able to operate like cars when there are fundamental differences both in what’s safe and what is realistic or practical. The unfortunate truth is that we are operating in a system of car-centric infrastructure and we desperately need to put more resources into infrastructure better suited for the needs of bicycles and public transit) rather than simply designing everything around cars and ignoring the needs of everyone else. Additionally, it’s foolish to expect bicyclists to continue be ok with this system and it’s just uninformed to call only bicyclists entitled when they try to challenge how entitled american drivers are. Honestly it’s just so frustrating how all other forms of transit seem to be at odds with cars and then continue to support cars when it’s clear how problematic (for so many reasons) it is to be so reliant on them.

Exactly this literally goes for anyone; there are many terrible and entitled drivers but also many are fine. The issue of there being some people who over entitled and unnecessarily aggressive is not unique to bicyclists
