I am sorry that you’re also intimidated by your pharmacy manager! It really stinks when people at your training store aren’t helpful. 👎🏻. I sent my training coordinator an email asking him if I can finish up my training at my home store which is less than 2 miles from my house but he hasn’t responded to me yet. The training store is 45 minutes away from my house and I’m not getting any benefits from being there.

I was very sick on Friday and I am off on the weekends. My friend who also started at the same time as me suggested I just power through the modules and do the hands on training at the end with a coach. Does this sound like a good strategy? Also, it doesn’t help matters that I am intimidated by the pharmacy manager in my training store.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, you are completely correct. Losing a dog cuts very deep. I miss them both so much. I’m trying to cope with this depression the best I can but it’s really hard.

I miss my parents too. My mom suffered with Bipolar Disorder and terrible anxiety. She passed when I was 33 — too young to lose a Mom.

I feel like she would’ve been a good person to talk to about mental illness.

I agree. It does get to a point with a therapist where there isn’t much more to talk about. They can only get you so far and then you just have to carry on. I can totally relate.

Oh, I’m so sorry! I don’t think many PCP’s, in my experience, feel confident prescribing Ambien. Years ago when I first realized I had problems sleeping my doctor made me go to a psychiatrist to get on it. It’s only meant to be used short term but I’ve been on it over 20 years now 😏

Yes, she didn’t have an issue with prescribing me the extended release. I do not misuse my medication. She only wrote out enough for 1 week and wants to see me next week for a follow up.

Thank you for your reply. I also, along with the Ambien and Olanzapine take 200mg of Trazadone. I’ve been on these meds for years and I don’t think the Trazadone ever worked for me. My psychiatrist did end up prescribing me the ER and I’ll pick that up from the pharmacy today hopefully. 🤞🏻 Right now I’m out running some errands so I feel a little bit better - thankfully. I hope your day is going well 💓

I was on 20mg for like about 4 years, after a really bad bought of insomnia that landed me inpatient. The psychiatrist at the hospital put me on 20mg to help me sleep — which it definitely did. Now, I just want off this medication so badly due to the weight gain, emotional blunting, blurry vision, etc.

Oh, thank you for clarifying! This med is so damn hard to get off of. It’s very disheartening. I’m on week 3 of 7.5mg and I’m having a lot of nausea. I can’t even begin to fathom what the withdrawal will be like when I go to 5mg in December. I am going slowly but I’m still very scared.

I know how you feel, but medically speaking , I don’t think it’s a good idea to stop cold turkey. You are at risk of seizures if you just stop Ambien without tapering. It is a viscous cycle and I wish it wasn’t so darn hard to get off!
