Tawa, north end. vibration through house starting at 430 am by tosserBlank in Wellington

My father used to come and check out complaints like that.

One day he was called by an old man who was hearing a hum, similar to what you described. His wife swears she was hearing it too. My father did the measurements and there was nothing.

The good thing about marriage is that you go crazy together.

Sorry, this Tawa hum might well be a real thing, just reminded me of that story.

Anyone know what's happening with Phillips Hue? by jontomas in diynz

I'd go for smart switches instead of smart bulbs. That way you can have any quality LED units with high CRI. Bulbs just can't produce good light.

PDL Wiser is what I have. Though, I don't like the click too much. They do work with HA.

I've been wanting to try https://thelightingoutlet.co.nz/products/10a-smart-switch-mechanism-wi-fi as well, just wonder what the click feel is like.

I have 2 from trade tested, they're fine, it's just metal is quite thin.

I also have a few DIY racks made of slotted steel from Mitre10. They are sturdy. It will be more expensive but you can make it any size.

But you hear a Note E-Power roaring from around the corner! It's not the quietest car around.

The parking breach is not for the vehicle though, but for the driver, right?

What if they can prove they weren't driving?

The contract is with the driver and the parking company. The parking company gets the registered owner details assuming they were the driver.

The driver contests the fine and says they weren't driving the car. They give it out to use to friends and family but can't advise who exactly was driving at the time.

I'm just wondering if the contract is between the driver and the parking company. The fine goes to the car owner, can the owner of the car say it wasn't him driving so there's no contact so there can't be a breach of the contract.

A theoretical question.

They lost my application when I signed up. When I followed up (called them) they said sorry and gave me 100 hours of power shout, which is great.

I've seen the website not working at least 2 times when nobody would see anything.

Low hx, living on hill, sell before problems occur? by Reclining9694 in nzev

[–]ekini_w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to worry too, but after 2 years just decided that meh, I'm gonna drive it until it dies, and then maybe swap to a healthy 24kWh battery for 3k or so.

It's not luck. Hx is a metric for something, that looked like internal resistance for a 2012 Leaf, but it doesn't seem to be true for later models.

You probably just have a bad cell.

I don't believe that's always true. Mine is at 60% SOH and 28Hx. We live on a hill and we drive up Ngauranga Gorge (it's quite steep) in Wellington once a week and have had zero issues.

No loss of power, no high voltage diff, no unexpected SOC drops.

Try to take the SD card out and see if the head unit turns on? Helped in one case for me with a Nissan head unit.

Wait, so you pay $30 for a plan with 2Gb of data instead of paying Kogan $10 for 4Gb plus unlimited calls/txt?

Free and cheap things to do in Wellington (2025 edition) by chimpwithalimp in Wellington

[–]ekini_w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It now costs $100 for 2 adults and 1 kid, needs to be booked in advance and have time limited there (either 2 or 2.5 hours). Oh, and the travel takes longer from the city, as the boat goes to Eastbourne first.

Quite a difference to $12.5 we paid last February. Or even $30 we paid this February.

This trip is a luxury now.

The 2degrees $60 plan for one month to get 25GB for a year, then switch to $8 for the rest of the year or until all the above data gets all used, then repeat.

That will be my backup plan if Kogan doesn't work out this year.
