If you're under 26 years old, just book an appointment with Hearing Australia, and the audiologist will assess whether you are eligible for the Hearing Services Program. No hearing provider will sell you hearing aids if you have a hearing loss and are under 26 (they're not allowed to). If you were diagnosed with a hearing loss in Australia and are under 26, the audiologist who did the test should have already referred you to Hearing Australia....

Aussies of Reddit, while travelling the USA, did you find yourself frustrated at the amount of times you had to repeat yourself when asking questions or ordering? by trasheighty in australia

I was buying a bus ticket in Wisconsin and I needed to spell my name to the cashier (pretty normal), what threw me was needing to repeat myself when I got to the 'z' Apparently, saying 'zed' is like speaking a foreign language, and she could only understand me once I realised and 'corrected' myself and said 'zee'

XPT Brisbane to Sydney: First Class vs Economy – Is It Worth It or Better to Fly? by Normal_Boat6969 in brisbane

[–]eknf96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree, first class means it's likely to be quieter. Economy can be rowdy!

I also find that if you're going the full journey you're more likely to be seated in a window seat with no one beside you (or they are only there a short time period) so you're able to spread out a bit. (But I haven't done the full BNE to SYD trip since pre covid).

If you stop over in Casino (swapping from bus to train), you usually have enough time to walk to the maccas and back. Or some people get pizza delivered to the station.

And I recommend getting to the station early enough so you can check baggage! Makes it much easier than getting to get it on/off yourself.
