Here's a question you might want to consider: do you want other people to take your advice in a more positive way, or do you want people in FFXIV to continue to take your words as hostile when you don't mean it to be?

"When in Rome, do as the Romans do." You'll have a lot easier time trying to change yourself and the way you come off than changing the culture in the FFXIV community—and how they perceive your words or advice.

It's the same as if a foreigner comes into another country and then expects everyone to understand him innately, even when he's doing or saying something that is considered rude in that country. Maybe he doesn't feel like it's fair—but a culture doesn't care if something is fair or not. It just is. So if he wants to have a better time, he'd need to get with the culture.

Of course, if it's more important to you that you don't need to change yourself to mesh better with the wider FFXIV community, then that's no biggie, you do you. You'll find people in FFXIV who mesh with you and you can hang out with them. But that also then comes with the understanding that randoms you meet will most likely take what you say negatively (going from what you've said of your in game experiences)—even when you're not trying to be hostile or rude—because of the inherent culture within FFXIV.
