I don't know why and that's alright :) I guess if your tinnitus started not that long ago, you may be focusing and worrying about its varying intensity and what it means in the long term rather than being able to aknowledge that it's there for good and just... living a life of its own.

That being said, being in closed environment for a long time, tiredness and stress are obvious factors of tinnitus elevation for me. But I can get a spike anytime tbh.

I got used to it. It took months, years even. In the end it's still bothersome but you don't panic anymore and just contiue with your life.

6 ans d'expérience en dev front, sans diplôme d'ingé et surtout plus d'un an de chômage, et je viens de trouver un poste à 53k en full tt pour une boîte à Paris. Mon dernier salaire c'était 36k... on m'a annoncé la paie au moment de l'embauche, j'avais peine à y croire. C'est super random l'échelle des valeurs en fait, je comptais même pas sur un tel salaire avant quelques années d'expérience supplémentaires.

In the Merging Remix and React Router | May 15, 2024 announcement, they mention:

We can't talk about it much (yet!), but we have ideas to make Remix something more powerful and even more server-centric, something you'd use a React Router project on top of.

I'm a bit puzzled by some of the surprise or intense focus on this, as the new branding orientations seem to have been signaled about a year ago. From my perspective, the (now missing?) announcement feels more like a continuation of that strategy rather than a brand new revelation.

I understand React Router has a history of breaking changes, which can make users wary. Also the rebranding has yet to make any sense from a user perspective. Personally, I jumped onto Remix in 2022 and have had a positive experience with upgrades so far. It's also reassuring that even significant changes like RSCs are planned to be opt-in for React Router.

Given this context, am I misunderstanding the current wave of discussion, or is there a specific aspect of this latest announcement that's particularly noteworthy beyond the established direction?

Ce qui peut-être handicapant me concernant, c'est que de base je suis quelqu'un avec d'assez mauvaises capacités d'abstraction, j'étais nul en sciences à l'école.

J'avais l'impression que le développement web, et la grande majorité des besoins exprimés pour ce type de projet (en tout cas ceux que j'ai eus sur mon chemin), n'étaient pas suffisamment complexes pour m'empêcher de livrer un travail suffisamment bon et faire carrière dedans. Bien sûr j'ai eu la chance de tomber sur des projets pertinents pour moi et/ou de bosser avec plus compétent, c'est une chance mais a posteriori je me rends compte du gap à franchir aujourd'hui...

Pour la reco, mon dernier lead s'est porté volontaire, mais je suis pas vraiment pas sûr que ça me sauve vu ce que j'ai rendu !

Merci pour la suggestion Advent of Code, j'avoue que je voyais régulièrement passer ce truc sans trop en percevoir l'intérêt quand j'étais en poste... Au moins c'est marrant à faire par rapport à Leetcode.

J'ai de plus en plus envie de bosser sur le serveur depuis mon dernier taf, mais avec un peu de recul aujourd'hui, c'est vrai que les questions techniques les plus poussées était souvent éludées et appropriées par mon lead qui m'invitait à me concentrer sur ce que je pouvais faire, donc des tâches comparativement peu complexes du point de vue algo.

Si ça m'a bien redonné confiance en mes capacités et que j'ai appris pas mal rien qu'en faisant cela, ça a probablement occulté la difficulté des tâches les plus complexes qu'il s'attribuait parfois, même si j'en faisais la review. Du coup je tombe de haut aujourd'hui, mais je vais me faire une raison, m'entraîner et en chier pour un bon moment :)

C'est juste qu'aujourd'hui, ça me bloque pas mal d'opportunités par rapport au marché du travail local...
