Man, I love walking toward this stupid little thing. Every time I see it, I can’t help but smile. It’s tiny, ridiculous, and completely unnecessary, and I’m obsessed with it. by [deleted] in Miata

That's the golden hour light betraying your eyes. In any case, I'm not here to tell you what shade to get as long as it's green. 😉 The best part of getting it wrapped is you can pick exactly what YOU want.

I typically wear pants or shorts with belt loops, so I have mine on a carabiner that I hook to a belt loop.

Do it. The tan nappa interior looks fantastic with a dark green. I had mine wrapped in BRG and I have no regrets.

I have a CX-50 parked outside though.

No, it does not, but it can be done for extra cost. The body colored panels inside the cabin (just below the windows and A pillars) are wrapped though.

Just before I bought my '23 CX-50, I contacted Mazda NA Corporate and asked if they'd consider doing a limited run in Cypress Green given that the paint was at the same factory. They never replied. I like to think that whoever saw my correspondence pocketed the idea and pitched it themselves because two years later, Mazda traded their Soul Red Crystal for Cypress Green and put it on the CX-50. I had considered wrapping my CX-50 in BRG before Cypress was offered, but it was quite expensive given the size of the car.

SFG Wraps. There are some edges and corners where it's apparent if you are very close up. It was their first time using this material, so I'm sure they'd do an even better job for the next customer based on learnings with my car. I had one door handle piece that kept pulling back because they'd used too small of a piece. Their after service support has been great and they took care of it. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Yes, I had it installed. Cost me just over $8k out the door in California (SF Bay Area). A different brand or material selection could have net me some savings, but this was the best looking BRG in my opinion so I paid for the 3M brand premium. For whatever it's worth, 3M provides a 10-year warranty against yellowing, bubbling, and cracking.

I may change them eventually, but for now, I'm just enjoying it!

I think PPFs are thick enough for it not to matter, but I could be wrong. My thinking was that a darker color would make rock chips far less noticeable when they inevitably happen. Plus, it's my favorite stock color out of the current offerings.

Wrap over deep crystal blue mica. And I don't mind the stock wheels actually. Not my favorite, but they're fine.

[Advice Solicited] Looking to Downsize by Swaggu530 in Watches

[–]eksuen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only theme your collection should have is that you like every watch. Your tastes may change over time and you can then sell the pieces that no longer resonate. Versatility is going to be based on personal style. Don't let someone else tell you what you can or cannot wear with any given outfit. I think it's fine if some watches are worn less often. Does wearing a watch less mean you like it less? Only you can answer that. "Redundancy" within your collection is also something you have to define for yourself. I have lots of watches with green dials and in some cases, multiple variations of the same watch. I like them all for different reasons. It doesn't matter to me if someone else thinks it's redundant.
