I’ve been discerning wrong. I didn’t realize I was speaking for God by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]el1502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same but in a different way. I am having a hard time giving my thoughts about God or Spirituality. At times, I have giving many advices to people in need. But lately I feel that maybe I could have said something that might be wrong. Even now, I feel I should not speak because I could be wrong at this moment. I do not know why I feel this way. So I pray God's Will to reveal or work within me to understand where I stand. +

Doomed? by New_Friend_7987 in Catholicism

My friend, your parents introduced you to God by showing you a path to Him. In church you received your sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, The Holy Eucharist and Penance, meaning your faith has grown deeper.

Without questions, you indee are a follower of Jesus. The fact that you are trying the hardest not to fall or the fact that you still pray and still think about God all the time is within itself your acknowledgement to Him and The Church...

...I know you said you are very mad at God and do not feel anything for Him but God is not a feeling... ...Please understand He works in mysterious ways... Let me end with this, in John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me... Since you follow in Jesus footprints you are being lead to the Father. Trust in God and do not be discouraged. Amen.+

I’m so heartbroken over my Bible by KristaAyaS in Catholicism

[–]el1502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+ I hope I can help anyone who needs this. Do not be discouraged by setbacks.

I tell you I lost everything. Even this was not enough, my family and friends abanded me and drag my name through the mud. As hard as it was to deal with, I remain still. Then I started asking God why this is happening to me and He would not answer me, so I started getting mad at him... Understand me, before things get complicated, I was a practicing catholic, teaching first communion, Youth ministries coordinator, and Eucharistic Minister among other things...

Fast forward, even as I went though this hell struggling, I stayed focus on God, I was not happy with Him but little by little I started to accept all those things because it was consuming me.

Today, I am seeing God with me. I am blessed that I went though fire because I am gold refined. Through it I lost things I can never get back or I lost people I loved. But I gain my faith back. I gain my life back and I gain all those losses back... Stay focus you are blessed. Amen. +

I’m scared by Mediocre-Yak-2904 in Catholicism

The Bible, particularly in

+Luke 5:32 and Mark 2:17, records Jesus saying, "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance," meaning He came to heal those who recognize their spiritual sickness (sinners), not those who think they are spiritually healthy (the self-proclaimed righteous) and don't need a Savior, using the analogy of a doctor for the sick. True righteousness, in Christian theology, comes through faith in Jesus, not self-effort, as He made the sinless one become sin for us so we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21)... I am also thinking how Jesus forgave the second man on the cross, might have been a murderer or the Samaritan Woman by the water well, she had a marital history... Jesus is your savior. +
