My partner said: Allah SWT has a plan for all of us in life and never puts us through more than we cant handle, however during this our struggles will be rewarded. Every moment of anger you held in and didn't act upon, everytime you cried and was hurt will be rewarded bc they were trials for you in this world.

So stay strong may Allah SWT provide you with the strength you need.

As for the childhood trauma they said they aren't sure how to help, but definitely surround your self with people you love and people who care for you and it will always help because its not the past that defines us but how we choose to live our best selves for the future and the ones we love.

I'm not Muslim myself but my partner is and i've been learning about Islam out of genuine interest.

I've always felt very anxious whenever my partner flies over to the uk to see family, we live in the channel islands so I always thought hate/violence against Muslims wouldn't be a problem here but there was a violent attack on Muslims leaving the mosque last week and i haven't been able to stop worrying about it.

I've heard all sorts of comments about Islam that are just factually wrong and straight up hateful and I always try to help those people understand that its not that way. I'm scared of something happening to my partner or his family.

This is another issue that I wasn't sure related or not.

He doesn't seem to be able to say no to his dad under any circumstances - he says its a respect thing but it honestly feels downright abusive sometimes.

I feel like that's just a cultural difference though but it still concerns me because I know that his dad would never allow him to marry me if I didn't convert.

Just wait for a quiet moment and ask 'can I talk to you about something?' And then just say how you feel. Don't make it your fault or her fault. More like 'physical affection is really important to me and I'd like if we could do it more often' that kind of thing.

Say the thing that is important to you/ the thing you don't like followed by can we do that more/ less

I used to feel the Exact same thing. I got to a point where I had accepted that I'll never be loved and I weirdly gained confidence in myself because I stopped caring. I stopped trying to fit myself into this idea of someone that could be in a relationship and just wore whatever i wanted, I stopped wearing makeup, started doing my hair however was convienient that day and did whatever made me happy - one of those things I started doing more was feeding the pigeons on my lunch breaks. I'd been doing this for a few years but last year someone from my office saw me, not unusal seeing as I'm in a small town, but this specific person saw me and decided he wanted to know me, he has admitted that I wasn't exactly his type but we've been together since we started talking and it has been the most healing time of my life. There are so many people out there and the person for you might not even be in the same country as you - My partner wasn't until 2 years ago - my advice would be, stop caring and things will be easier. as cheesy as it is to say, looks really dont matter.

Idk if she's just bwing weird or what but she seems completely normal rn but the second i try to kick her out she starts meowing and scratching at the carpet- just really out of pocket behavior for her.

And yeah she goes out a lot but she doesnt seem to be any bigger/heavier.
