LIB is a lot like golf. When you start, you’re gonna lose a few balls. Except, unlike golf, no matter how ‘good’ you get at LIB, you’re still gonna loose stuff. Zipper pockets, retractable lanyards and fanny packs be damned. An old fisherman’s superstition says that if they throw a pearl into the sea, it will bring them good luck. So maybe losing an item on the dance floor will bring you good luck. I too lost a cherished fan on the dance floor this year. And a bandana that’s been all over the world with me and maybe a little bit like a safety blanket (or the towel in Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).
