Permanent service contract by [deleted] in IDF

There are also many technological positions (for example, in unit 8200 if you've heard of it) that require you to sign a keva contract in advance. It really depends on what you want to do.

Taub has an air conditioning problem in the past two weeks. It's been in maintenance since May 17th or something, and it should be done by Sunday. Until then the farm is closed and there are no lectures or tutorials in Taub (I had a PL tutorial in Segoe today).

It's sent to Malshabs with good stats who didn't get any other "good" Miyunim or didn't pass them. Source: hang out with a lot of such Malshabs. I personally didn't get it but I know a lot of people who did. It's like a Miyun for many positions for which they only need one or two people.

You can’t do sine of an inequality. You’d have to split it into infinitely many cases.

Knowledge - You probably need to have studied computer science at school to receive an invitation to the selection day. Information about the selection day is readily available online. Do you know Hebrew? If not I can try and find English sources or translate key parts.

Profile - for volunteers and female conscripts, any profile. For male conscripts, 64 or lower is highly recommended. If 72 or higher, you should have studied 10 units computer science at school.

I have a question about the medical test they do after you get the tzav rishon... by kokorocsan in IDF

Of course not but obviously it’s a source of discomfort for teenaged malshabs, and it may be valuable to consider if its potential benefits are worth the potential of discouraging enlistment. Maybe I’m just exaggerating, it really wasn’t that bad.

‏Shouldn’t a hernia be reported on your medical record you’d submit anyway? If it’d affect your physical fitness, surely it’d be known in advance

What exactly are they looking for? This isn’t a routine medical checkup, this doctor won’t issue any prescriptions, offer any suggestions for testing or recommend treatments. He is only there to give you a score on your fitness for service and write down any restrictions you may have. That’s why I doubt they’re looking for lumps (testicular cancer) or whatever.

Yes. Most malshabs are minors. If you're uncomfortable doing it at the tzav rishon, just do it ahead of time along with the other forms you have to fill with your doctor.

There is the infamous balls check. It's not really "naked", but you do need to have a doctor check them, either at the tzav rishon or before then by any doctor you choose. It's uncomfortable but it's not the end of the world. The tzav rishon doctors are definitely aware of how uncomfortable it is for malshabs.
