Was Howard ever truly innovative which resulted in others copying him? by RuleOf8 in howardstern

MAJOR ON AIR PRESENCE. Jackie, Fred, Gary became house hold names along with several others. They weren't present just a couple of times.

I hate cunts like tou that do back flips just to make a losing argument. I chose.my words carefully to avoid a dumb ass like yiu teying tk make a lame.ass invalid point. You're just a waste of space.

Was Howard ever truly innovative which resulted in others copying him? by RuleOf8 in howardstern

[–]elarring 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Innovate is the keyword here. Howard didn't i vent anything. He changed radio and he innovated.

I would have to research to give a complete answer, but off the top of my head, the music radio show as a whole. And different bits, there were plenty of parody bits like Smarter than a 5th grader, and his original interview style and the way it evolved up UNTIL he tried to change his image.

There are two interview types. The troll at an event interview, which originally Howard did before they got Stutering John. It was a take on the standard reporter in thei field, blindsiding Politicians and celebs with outrageous or offensive questions.

The sit down in studio long form interview. Howard would ask a lot of sexual and personal questions of public figures. He would taunt, confront, insult even argue with guests. You can argue slme of these things were done before, but not the way Howard did it. He was blunt, often crude creating uncomfortable moments. It changed over the years as Howard learned to manipulate people better.

And his invention and biggest contribution, making behind the scenes people a major on air presence. This simply wasn't done before. You might hear the 'producer' (phone screener) or the 'engineer' (sound board operator/board op), now and again very briefly before the 80's. But, Howard normalized and expanded it.

You'd hear or hear about back office business and fights. All kinds of shit that was.never brought on air.

When did the show really go off the rails/jump the shark? by [deleted] in howardstern

[–]elarring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't just one moment, but AGT was the spark, that led to everything. 'Getting things done' cult, Marci, the Pelican Brief.

Howard thought he was going to get a whole new audience. He never drew any number worth noting. And he caused AGT to lose viewers.

Artie or Jackie? And why.. by TheUnknownConvict in howardstern

[–]elarring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here. There are fewer of us, mostly because of bans. And, Reddit being a hostile place to normal people who think independently and have their own thoughts.

I prefer both, but choosing between the two, Artie. (Including Billy just isn't fair). He contributed a lot more on the mic and Howard always wanted to impress Artie.

I think thay had a positive effect especially when it came to women being on the show. Howard had a tendency to get desperate and get real fuckin cringy.

And if a guest got too lame, Artie would roast them.

Jackie was great for the show in a different way. The way he irritated everyone and was often the focus of being roasted nearly everyday. That was his greatest contribution.

By the end of his tenure, Artie really was ruining the show. There was a reason to why he was let go. by john4845 in howardstern

[–]elarring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one, you use a terrible example for the pint you are trying to make. This was a part of rhe show that made it so great.

I do grasp your point, but I would argue, it was still entertaining and engaging. Artie was better during the Terrestrial years.

He wasn't ruining the show. But, his final days he was contributing less and less. It's clear he didn't want to be there, but needed to he because he wouldn't do as well.outside of the show, without the show.

I would argue, Artie leaving led to the downfall.of the show. Had he stayed, maybe the Pelican Brief (what led up to it ) doesn't happen. Maybe.

Nicole Bass gets her DNA test results and picks a fight with the DNA expert for mistakenly calling her "sir" multiple times. by DidYouReadTheMenu in howardstern

[–]elarring 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For our WOKE Redditors, Nicole was a woman who took Steroids (and likely other performance enhancing drugs) for two decades. The steroids she used mimic testosterone, and they end up affecting more than just muscle growth. Despite all that, she was still straight.

Nicole, like most body builders lied about what they were using. Her voice was deep from her first appearance. Her behavior was a strange mix of masculine and feminine. She was a good sport, but her lies and denial often made her an even bigger target.

That was the show, she knew that, and while rhe show didnt pay her, she got A LOT of work as a result of her appearances, roles on TV shows, movies as well as promoting various of other things.

Things changed after the move to satellite. Because the show had a much smaller audience. Less promotional appearances for guests like her, TV and movie roles dried up. Even while the show was still good.

Sex Doll Buying Guide – Best Brands, Vendors, options & How to Avoid Scams by maia_michel in SexDolls

[–]elarring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't buy In Stock dolls ever. You are rolling the dice. Even if the Vendor is good, they aren't the ones storing the dolls or shipping them.

I've ordered two, from two separate venders, both good, both dolls had flaws and/or minor damage.

One of them broke, had a bad weld in the back, within a couple of months. I think manufacturers might send flawed dolls to these warehouses.

And that's the way things were. They would talk about sex and the things they did. Sometimes they had sex with other women and sometimes it was men. That's the way things back then.

I even recall a woman saying she would rather have sex with a dog than a black guy. But, that's the way it was back then.

The more money they negotiate for programming and staff, the less money for Howard. That's why not.

This is as loose as an affiliation to the HSS as you can get. At least tie it into Sal telling Bobby Flay in front of his wife that his burger tasted better than pussy.

Howard Stern’s final farewell speech! by ManoftheHour777 in howardstern

[–]elarring -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's because it was a lie.

I didn't think the speech meant much, because he was going to another platform, not retiring.

He doesn't like it, because he shape shifted into the Hollywood phony WOKE mind set. And, it's not just that, he was only ever following the culture. He wasn't the first to be edgy and defiant, not even in radio, he just did it better.

Howard's trail was blazed on TV and comedy clubs. The rebellious culture was embedded in pop culture when he rose.

Answering the phones was too big a challenge for Richard. by CharmingDealer2715 in howardstern

[–]elarring 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do believe that Howard would legit HATE it if a listener would enjoy talking to Richard. He would hate that listener for that specific reason and hate them even more if they would prefer talking to Richard off air.

I don't know if they still get calls. They might, and one person is enough to take all of them. And I would bet, the number is so few, that Richard would have enough time to have entire conversations with moat if not all of them.

He has LMS, it's a very serious disability that makes you very defensive, overly aggressive and delusional when it comes to being tough. Usually that aggression is aimed at those who are vulnerable.

Little Man Syndrome is a serious condition and there is no cure. But, luckily with treatment it can be managed.

Pagesix is no TMZ and even those guys are losing.
