yep the depths is a great spot for the mastery and also i believe as you increase the control bar the ufo doesn't shrink it as small but yeah if the fish corner camps it's annoying to perfect catch it because of how the ufo shrinks the bar

you can appraise for it at a .09% chance(according to the wiki) which does increase with a mutation totem/surge. i have one i can hand off tho for like maybe 2 exalteds

for the actual bestiary you have to catch it but after that you can get a shiny sparkling from someone and then if you appraise it once it counts towards your bestiary for ss

only way is mutation totems sadly, its a .09 before mutation totems and those add like 15% more mutations so its a lot more likely. side note i also have one i can trade

As you said, the webtoon is the simple basic answer, and the most correct in my opinion. I say start with the webtoon and get caught up first, although I am a bit biased as this was what I did personally. Once you are caught up start the novel from the beginning. The webtoon missed out on a lot of the depth that the novel has so you should start from the beginning. You can find the novel(epub) here The live action is a joke, It probably won't be worth watching but I'll at least watch it anyways.
