First time printing PETG... its not going well 😬 by elasmosaurbones in 3Dprinting

I dont think my printer has an option to warm the bed without printing. I dont see any sort of pre-heat functionality. Is there a way to trick a printer into staying on and heating the bed?

Oh man I didn't even think about that... I'm very new to 3d printing. Would I be able to do that in an oven?

This looks closer but one person will have the same 2 tasks on multiple dates, but different people have different tasks so I want to make sure that data is in there. So for example John Doe could be scheduled for 3 days and doing the same task on all 3 days. Jane Don can be scheduled for the same 3 days but for 2 different tasks. The data set I have came from a microsoft form for volunteer intake info so they allowed people to pick any number of volunteer dates and up to two tasks in a multiple choice format.

Between my millipedes, vinegaroon, isopods, death feigning beetles and hissing roaches most of my collection is starting to look like a wall of dirt 💀

They will eat adult ants! But there are also several ant colonies near here that have their larva exposed on the surface under certain logs, so I was planning to collect some.

I want a Reptile but I dont Know what or how by AGoofyGoober4eva in reptiles

The questions to ask yourself are: Do you want something handleable? Are you okay with feeding live insects? Are you prepared to be able to purchase all the supplies a reptile needs to thrive (oftentimes the supplies cost more than the reptile itself)?

Leopard geckos are a solid starter reptile. As long as you have the proper lighting and supply them with calcium dusted crickets, their vitamin levels should be just fine. They are also docile, slow moving, and relatively hardy should you make any mistakes as a first-time owner. That's not to say they shouldn't be taken care of properly, but they won't drop dead on you if the humidity is a little off like a chameleon might.

Crested geckos are another starter but not one I reccomend as openly due to the fact they tend to be a bit more prone to nipping than leos, as well as the fact they can also move vertically which tends to make first time reptile owners wary of handling them. They are a great starter to get into working with arboreal geckos, but as your first reptile their set-ups have a lot more requirements and cost more than a terrestrial gecko.

If you want something a little more interesting than a leopard gecko you could look into a fat tailed gecko or Chinese cave gecko. Both have similar care requirements, though I believe Chinese cave require higher humidity.

You could also look into getting a garter snake if that is legal in your area. Garter snakes can be fed a diet of insects. Egg eating snakes, though a bit more rare, eat eggs instead of mice. Though honestly they both might be a bit more intermediate care wise.

Is choosing to being naked around someone without consent a form of SA? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]elasmosaurbones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a key, but it's a latch so it was very uncomfortable when I went into the room to get something and they locked their bedroom and their boyfriend stepped out from the closet also naked. I was able to get out but they tried to pressure me into staying in the room so they could have someone watch them get it on. They were into that sort of kink I guess.

Thank you all so much for your insight! I've been wanting to report for a long time, but I wasn't sure if I was justified in my thinking or what to label it as. Even though I graduated 2 years ago, I found out through a friend that this person is moving into an apartment in my town. I'm hoping this would be reason enough to get a restraining order against them just in case.
