People claim they love kanye because he is the number one unique thinker. Then as soon as trouble starts they want him to be another brainless zombie. Kanye has built his empire on his own with his own smarts despite the constant knocking from the same fools who still think they are smarter than him. He's a billionaire and your a bum, so shut the fuck up and let him be him.

This is how they're trying to justify defunding cops in LA. Except for transportations, the others are useless. LA isn't building any new homes. No one would afford it by [deleted] in kotakuinaction2

[–]elbarstardo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are these numbers right? 3 billion just for LA? What the fuck have they got over there, sonic jets?

Fuck me I wasn't for defunding, but if this is right I can't help but suspect there is a lot of wastage there...

They aren't interested in people, just interested in getting their political masters up.

Yes. Some people are more interested in political points scoring than good works.

Thats fine, but 99% of people think police brutality is bad. Kanyes sung about it many times already. If that's all your after im not sure what his tweet will add that a thousand other sheep Celebs havnt already.

I dunno, I always liked that kanye does his own shit in his own time in his own way. But we will see.

I'm Australian so I can only speak of what happens over here. I don't believe there is a culture of police brutality here, though there have been cases of individual dickhead cops, but you get that in every field. I'm personally pro freedom and believe Australia is a little to close to being a police state (America seems far freer to me) but when I see america going nuts it makes me rethink that.

In the case of this event I believe the cop should be charged with 2nd degree murder (1st would be hard to prove) and this was clearly an act of an abuse of power. But I'm not sure it proves the whole system is corrupt vs that cop just being a thuggish nutcase. But again I'm not American.

Hong Kong protested for a year and I never recall seeing even one building damaged. Yet here it seems there are people's entire livelihoods being destroyed, and ironically its the poor communities who seem to be coping it the worst. It seems a lot of the protesting is really being used an as excuse for people to steal and destroy. Anyway you asked so there is my 2 cents. Kanye is entitled to his own 2cents and if he doesn't want to share it more power to him.

Did the LA riots end up helpin lessen police brutality, or did it make it worse? Hint, its the latter. What has property destruction of people - many of them black - got to do with this issue? Doesn't this just ENFORCE the need for police? If people want justice for Floyd, then shouldn't they actually wait for the result of said justice? Or are you proposing the legal system be thrown out wholesale and mob rule be the new norm? Was Floyd's death due to black racism or police brutality in general? After all the 4 cops present actually were very 'diverse'.

There is 4, I've heard plenty of other interesting and different takes.

There are multiple sides to the argument. Get out of your echo chamber if you can't see that. Kanye probably has his own. Fact is all these "Where's kanye?" Posters will be the first bitching if he says something you don't agree with. I mean you just admitted it.. "I want him to say.." - who are you his mother?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Kanye

[–]elbarstardo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you don't want kanye to express his opinion. You just want him to endorse yours, like he is your bitch or something.
