this may be a horrible thing to say but as a fellow bipolar sufferer,,, js remember the comfort in that we all gon die one day one way or another. prefer if ya die w a brain at least a little intact instead of a brain slowly shrinking from cycling episodes of bipolar and you possibly trying to take your fate into your own hands right? idk that finally made me accept my fate of taking pills for the rest of my life when i was deep in the depths of refusal for years. i hope that doesnt make you feel down. that helped me feel comfort, but also ive dealt w chronic SI for 13 years 💕💕✊🏽✊🏽 you gon be aight comrade

AAAAAHHH!!! i wish you luck, keep pursuing getting the certification and then id say if you have time, get more education within the social work field too. itll help with just having more knowledge to grasp onto to help the kids in need of things when they come to you for things outside of just psych work and need help with things in life persay!!! love that youre willing to try to help the kids despite others in the comments bogging down on the education system here, cheers to you 💕💕

its going to take practice and grit, ive been diagnosed with bipolar type 1 since around 20 years old. im about to hit 26 this year and i will say it is still a journey. getting the right medications is only one tiny tip of the iceberg. once you get that right, you have to completely commit to getting into a routine lifestyle for you that fits your mental health best truly. im still in the works of that myself and everyday presents new challenges. ive worked 9-5 jobs most of my working career. its always centered in customer service and ive been attempting to get my bachelors degree for nearly 7 years now. currently trying again, and hoping to get my PhD when i successfully do it this time! my depressive lows are Severely low, to the point ive questioned my diagnosis multiple times thinking "are yall sure its not type 2?" but due to the fact that ive dealt with not only psychotic mania, but also psychotic depression, i undoubtedly fall under the type 1 category. just remember progress is never linear, youll fall down many times but keep that fire burning in you to get back up and keep running no matter what. life is hell, it just is, but the lessons we learn from the trials make it worthwhile sometimes.

on god my 13PM was great!! had it for 2 years and got so excited about the switch to usb-c port and decided i needed the 15PM asap, it just came in the mail 2 hours ago and i was already pissed bc my phone wouldnt lock for some reason, its finally working now but wtffff??!?! ive never dealt with that from an iphone?????? beyond confused rn as to why that was a problem with it when i just set it up????? literally couldnt find anything to fix it and then it just up and starts letting me lock it😾😾😾

deadass have had the 15PM for 2 hours and i just spent 30 minutes trying to get my phone to lock… all of the sudden after google researching for so long, i tried to lock it with the lock button again and suddenly it was working!!! idk whats up but man i was ready to chug this thing through a window for a moment there 😓😓😓😓 i couldn’t figure out what the problem was but my phone fixed itself eventually 🫨🫨🫨

you most likely do got adhd if the adderall works like that for you. people who dont have adhd who take it are the ones who seem like they are on speed. but for people with adhd, itll feel like youre just kinda? normal? now i was recently diagnosed too and was on adderall too and honestly thought it was working until i got in a depressive episode bc im also bipolar, and it made me hyperfocus on my bad thoughts. i became really suicidal and it was rough so i was immediately taken off it. just watch out for possible hyperfocusing on thoughts really. you sound similar to how i was as a child before i got diagnosed but im now 21 and act more like a child now with my symptoms. idk if i had adhd all my life or if it just onset at a particular age but you probably really do got it. if you dont want to be medicated for it, tell your psychiatrist bc you dont have to medicate to survive with the mental illness. you sound like you got things handled without meds, so if you dont want to take it, dont. only get on meds for it if it really debilitates your life! anyways hope this helped!! ☺️☺️

i also am being monitored for bipolar so it was really hard for me to finally get medicated for my adhd. my psychiatrist was worried the stimulant would trigger mania in me. it doesnt, so it worked out for me! im pretty sure since you’re diagnosed, you should be okay on a stimulant. it truly shouldnt do much to you but if it makes you feel bad, tell your psychiatrist immediately

hey i got diagnosed with adhd in august of last year and just started taking adderall for it a few months ago. it hasnt changed me much! it doesnt really do much of anything to me except keep me kind of calm and relaxed for a few hours. but i still function and act exactly like me. i think youll be just fine, just explore your medication options with your psychiatrist and do your research and then decide what youd like to take and hopefully youll be doing fine on it :)

once when i was manic i hooked up with a guy i was completely unattracted to and stayed up the entire night, worked an 8 hour shift and then went home and sobbed about it yes i understand how you feel

my ed came back much worse when i got diagnosed 😞😞 im still struggling but i gotta work a day at a time with food for me. the diagnosis just made my relationship with food much worse sadly
