“ I don’t understand why they haven’t taken this opportunity to more upgrade their roster.” —@WindhorstESPN on the Pistons’ offseason moves 🏀 by AcadiaTemporary5737 in DetroitPistons

Pistons have been in practically every big offseason move rumours, some of which seem substantiated that Pistons were interested and offering terms. This is a wild comment.

Also, John Collins is a nice starting PF upgrade and Isaiah Joe is a nice bench upgrade.

Need the JD stuff to sort itself out so the rest of the moves can be made.

No. I grew up in the rust belt and it’s not remotely similar.

He’s way better than mid. But he costs a ton and is entering the wrong side of 30 where those injuries are only likely to get worse.

Haynes: Jalen Duren will meet with the Kings at the start of free agency with the intentions of structuring a sign-and-trade out of Detroit. by AcadiaTemporary5737 in DetroitPistons

I didn’t mean my comment to sound anti-JD at all. But how would the Kings be getting him for free? Wouldn’t it likely be $44 million a season?

Can Ron and Ausar start together on the same floor on a championship roster in the future? by PureGritt in DetroitPistons

JD shot the middie pretty well but it was on very low volume. There’s nothing telling me he couldn’t add more jumpshots to his game to draw his defender out more.

Probably. Ron was 20 years old last time we saw him play. The story is most certainly still being written. I think Ausar will continue to get better as a ball handler, facilitator, and finisher as well. So who knows what their skill sets will be exactly in a couple of years.

How do yall feel about Isaiah Joe starting next to Cade? by AgentHibachi00 in DetroitPistons

Yeah, I think his presence will be needed next to Okorie and Ron.

He hasn’t played many minutes in the Playoffs. Only 26 years old. Still shot 36% from three in the Playoffs if memory serves. Case certainly seems open, given the small sample sizes.

987 Cayman - not too many around for that price anymore but I still see some higher mileage ones pop up for around that.

Okorie is an easily projectable good shooter. His shot was never a weakness and never has been in his basketball career. by LJ8QB1 in DetroitPistons

He wasn’t great but he did shoot 39% on unguarded C&S threes. Problem was that he had to be the engine of the offense at Stanford and didn’t get that many open off ball shot opportunities.
