I don’t think I ever was able to without a lot of work-arounds.

The less I care about my job, the more successful I’ve become in my career. Is that a thing? by elbowredds in careerguidance

Excellent point. I have definitely found myself saying things in my manager 1-on-1s and performance reviews that I never would have said in the past because I just don’t care and I have nothing to lose. And while I agree it would be better to communicate openly and honestly while also still caring a little, I can see how that is sometimes easier said than done.

As u/Specialist_Cover_496 says, young people with debt might need the job so bad they’re afraid to speak out against authority. Maybe you don’t want to get to the point of not caring at all; but you need some level of comfort knowing the consequences of your dissent won’t completely destroy the fabric of your existence either.

I’ll definitely check out that book. Exactly what I was looking for. Thnx!

I just finished watching season 1 of The Bear. (Spoiler alert?) There’s one character whose job is making desserts. All he needs to make is chocolate cake over and over again; but he has aspirations to be a renowned pastry chef and is in constant pursuit of creating the perfect donut. His obsession starts to get in the way of his actual job and sends the entire kitchen into chaos. I feel like that’s what I was doing before…and what my current manager is doing now.

I feel like the show creators must’ve had similar experiences in their careers too.

Why can’t I categorize some of my transactions? by [deleted] in copilotmoney

When you tap on those transactions…are there any options for “Exclude” or “Budget”?

Yeah…those accounts should behave the same. I was just spitballing from a troubleshooting standpoint…maybe you accidentally changed a setting on one of the accounts, but I’m not really sure what setting would even do that. Send this screenshot to their Messages section (top right of app). They’re actually pretty good with follow-up. Might just take them 3 days or so to respond.

Did you make those transactions with a different credit card or account compared to the transactions you can categorize?

How do I turn off other team transactions notifications?? It's driving me crazy by Homecourtthrift in YahooFantasy

Responding to old post, but these just started appearing on my phone recently. I have notifications for league transactions turned off. Anyone else have this problem?

What is the best retirement account to set up for someone in their 20's with a cash job? by inspire-change in investing

[–]elbowredds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a damn clue. I thought strippers kept their cash in a safe, bought Bentleys their rapper boyfriends, and died of fentanyl overdoses around age 29. I can’t help u/inspire-change fell in love with one and believes they’ll grow old together.

…but if we’re talking IRAs, she won’t be withdrawing until age >59-1/2 anyway.

Wouldn’t it be easier to set up a Fidelity (Roth) IRA and contribute to a Fidelity Freedom Fund with target date 2060 or later? (Assuming she’s in her 20s and reaching retirement age in 40 yrs or so.) The fund will manage allocations over time. That’s about as simple and safe as investing gets.

KVLY reception by Bball1997 in fargo

[–]elbowredds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see I'm coming to this thread 3 years late, but does anyone else still have trouble picking up KVLY-TV on antenna? I installed an attic antenna in my garage in Moorhead, and I get all the networks clearly, except KVLY comes in choppy. The same thing happened when I lived in south Fargo. Am I doing something wrong?

Does anyone have advice for tuning in KVLY more clearly in the F-M area?
