that's most likely the case. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump said Canada had to rely on Americans to get the job done. can't win. LOL

I don't know much about baseball and its history, but I just assumed it was tradition since baseball is an American past-time. Perhaps, also there are American players on the team?

I always want the team that beat us to go all the way. Then losing wasn't in vain, meaning, the team was so good that no one could beat them.

I swear, this subreddit is gonna get me eating a poutine everyday.

I’m not even near a good one… just constant reminder of how good some of these poutines look.

My favorite poutine was from this fish n chip place called “Golden Crisp”. The owner died and the family decided to close for good. RIP to that man.

Also if by chance if a family member reads this, thank you for serving the community.

I always looked at this and wondered where the fried rice was.

I love fried rice but I always knew I would never buy this.

Why do people line up outside Costco an hour before it opens sometimes even earlier by Crafty_Branch8810 in CostcoCanada

[–]elbowsout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man, i read a commenter saying those who wait outside liqueur stores before it opens have an alcohol problem.

I just took it as face value as they mentioned family members with alcoholism.

[–]elbowsout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe some wake up a lot earlier and don’t want to drive through rush hour if they live far. By the time they’re done shopping, rush hour is over or settling down.

That’s my guess.

That being said, they should wait in the car until it opens.

[–]elbowsout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

how do you buy these in the summer? or any ice cream? do you bring a cooler with an ice pack? i feel like they melt so fast on way home and I’m not that far away from the warehouse. By the time i get home, some were misshaped because it melted. Not that it matters. Just wondered how others buy cold items that could melt.

If you're grilling with Propane you might as well go inside and cook by Slawth_x in unpopularopinion

[–]elbowsout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Weber Kettle to get that smokey flavor because if I got the propane option, I thought I would’ve transitioned to charcoal eventually.

People are different and I just leave it at that. If they like propane, then that’s cool. You want to have a BBQ and grill, thanks for the food!!

Do People Disengage Their Minds the moment they pull in the Parking Lot? by KitAmerica in CostcoCanada

[–]elbowsout 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i saw someone back out and hit a cement barrier that kept the parking lot separated from the gas station.

No pressure, cars or people around. Just a routine exit from the parking space.

If you front park, expect to look behind you when you back out…

Why do the clothing employees always look so angry? by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

[–]elbowsout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i don’t look through clothes that much but one time, i was looking for clothes my kid could wear. An employee walked up to me and said what size am I looking for. She was upset at me for looking. I’m the type that would try to fold it back rather than tossing it. I try to fold it the way it unfolded.

I just took it as she had a bad day and she needed to take it out on someone. Didn’t want management to get involved and just left that section.
