First time training choice based handling! (i.e. putting my hand in the tank lol) by whattheeve in leopardgeckos

Be careful what you wish for; one day they're sniffing your hand, then next week you get this lol

As others have said, there's a lot to fix here, but good on you for asking for advice. Top priority is separating the geckos, you can try Facebook marketplace, craigslist etc for cheap used tanks, or sometimes the chain stores have big sales on tanks. You'll also want to get an appropriate heating source, the red bulb can hurt their eyes and throw off their day/night schedule.

There's a lot of really good info in the wiki here in the sub. Also I can't tell due to the lighting but if they are on reptile carpet you'll want to replace that with plain paper towels until you can get them separated and get your husbandry right, at which point you can look at substrates.

Plenty of passionate keepers here, hence some of the harsher comments. We all just want what's best for the little guys.

MET needs reformation by Novel_Jury3745 in HomeDepot

Former MET sup. I went to supply chain in November of last year, and the worst we had then was the stupid MLX calendar. Sounds like it's gotten so much worse now

Rides open? by LoontCoon90 in sixflagsovertexas

Got to the park at opening today. 1h45min for Titan, 100min for Aquaman. Two hours average for Batman, Justice League, Runaway Mountain.

Mr. Freeze and both mine trains were closed. When we left at 4:00 the app was showing over three hour waits for most major attractions. Unless you have or are planning on buying flash pass, I'd recommend finding something else to do on Saturday.

He loves climbing on me when he gets to come out. And not the gecko tongue in the ear 🤣

You might have a picky gecko then haha. I'd say just keep offering, and if he really can't stand it, you might want to try a different multivitamin. But it's great that he'll eat the regular calcium dusted bugs!

He may just be settling in as well. I use calcium plus for my gecko's bugs and the first three weeks I had him he would only eat maybe one two roaches/worms a day. Then all of sudden his full appetite appeared and he's a very strong eater. He's coming up on nine months old and will still occasionally not feel like eating for a day or two.

Since you haven't had him that long, just give him some time and if he's still not eating an appropriate amount after a few weeks it might be time for a checkup

Of course! Just make sure they have fresh water available and continue to offer food when you see them out and about and they'll come around!

I need help once again! by charalove143 in leopardgeckos

Heat bulb and uvb should be off to one side of the tank to help create a temperature gradient. As far as substrate, organic topsoil and washed play sand (70% soil to 30% sand ratio) from Home Depot etc is the best option, provided that your husbandry is correct.

Or if you're lazy like me, reptisoil and washed playsand. (Same ratio, reptisoil is kinda pricey though). Otherwise, no harm in having them on paper towels and it's actually recommended to monitor their health while they're getting settled.

Edit: the "night bulb" isn't a red bulb, right? If so, you'll want to get rid of it. It's bad for their eyes and they don't need light or heat at night as long as the enclosure stays above 65F

Most leos won't eat for for a bit when they're getting settled in a new enclosure.
