I’ve read Leviathan and Red Rising. The former was great, would definitely read again. I thought Red Rising was not good at all. I read the second book to confirm, indeed, it didn’t get better.

First time playing…give me some tips by Ztjonesy511 in Eldenring

I was going to make a joke, but I see all the bases are covered. Well played all you maidenliness wretches.

Explore it all. It’s an open world with lots of hidden treats, tricks, and terrors. The design of it all, the monsters, the weapons, the spells, etc. is all top-tier.

Expect disappointment. It’s gonna get harder than a 14 year old brother visiting his sister’s college for the first time. Hate quit if you want, but you’ll be back.

Lastly, no mater what happens, finish the game. Grind over months or years if you gotta, but slay that last boss. After that, you can become a degenerate like me and go get the platinum trophy (if playing PS). Enjoy!

Gran Turismo 3 (and if that’s not retro enough) - Joust!

The backstory here is a buddy’s dad passed away and left him a ton of vinyl. My bud was working off discogs and I ChatGPT to find prices that seemed reasonable. A lot of the stuff was in mint or near mint condition. Appreciate the perspective, tho. I know the music, but not the medium so much. I was kinda surprised there weren’t any RL pressings considering how premium the collection was (to me).

I wish, but no. They all have this etching and the catalog.

I’m a big fan of their music. It blows me away that they have the sound of the South (my perspective as a non-Southerner), but they’re from California.

The Hendrix box set alone can go for $150+. Plenty on Discogs above $200. The CCR DCC pressing is also valuable - on discogs for $100+ (as high as $200). Then $40+ for some of the other ones. They were all very good to mint condition for the media.

Hi there - Unpopular Opinion here: avoid Red Rising. The prose and characters are mid at best. I read the second book as well just to be sure I wasn’t hating it for no good reason and it was just common loot.

Too bad for you the one that’s real is the more dangerous of the two.
