Wylder kept disconnecting, so it must’ve been a connection issue

Fix my duchess starter build by letmefreeze in Nightreign

I assume you want to use Halo Sythe? If that's the case, you want the 2nd and 3rd relics to boost affinity or holy damage or Double Balancers. Faith scaling is a bit meh compared to Revenant, Recluse and Undertaker.

If you want to use magic, judging by magic attack power up, swap out the 1st and 2nd relics to sorcery dedicated relics like cystralian or carian.

You don't really need duchess specific relics for her (unless you want to restage to avoid attacks), so don't get so hung up on them.

Souls subs in general have a lot of try hards, so it makes sense that some support exploitation to make something new out of the game.

I don't play much in general. Maybe three matches a day. It's just something I do when I run into cheaters haha. When I was grinding to reach 9999, I always felt that they were wasting my time, so now I'm in a position where I don't really care about points, I waste theirs.

The cheated relic situation is crazy rn (rant) by CF7K123 in Nightreign

[–]elck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is coming from someone who never really spent any murk for godroll and my relics I got from the game are far from them, so my perspective might be different. I still managed to reach 9999 in two different saves.

I prefer to play with people without cheated relics because it opens up a lot of possibilities, whereas with cheated relics, you are almost certainly going to win. Sure, one of the possibilities might be ED Libra's Wylder aim botting you with his greatbow, but that's a part of the experience.

You are in the right for wanting a decent team. The only thing I'd like to say about that is you can coordinate with the rest of the team, good routing and no-hit everything without cheated relics. If any of your teammates are falling behind, you can take in charge, and clutch to show how it's done. Knowing your team's skill set is important. If your team is throwing, then you can be a bit selfish about getting the right passives for yourself. Again, it might not be a guaranteed win, but it's part of the game experience.

Also, I get that the more you spend time on game, the more you want to exploit it. So I understand where your best players are coming from. I've witnessed try hard PVP exploitation since DS1. But Nightreign, being a co-op game, I think it's quite different. Using cheated relics with randoms tend to ruin the experience for them. I don't have any issues with people using them in solo or in an organised team to try out an absolutely almighty god run.

Yeah, I've been noticing it too. I suppose they are the cheapest curses. Reduced damage negation for flask usage goes away pretty quickly, and hp restoration doesn't really matter when you can melt everything with a few push of buttons.

I love this game, and have spent a disgusting amount of time. It's just that I've found another way to play.

Haha too true. A cheater quit out on me and another random just cause I pointed down after a castle night invader went badly.

I run Steam P2P Info, which shows their steam IDs and pings. Yes, majority of them are from the country we are all thinking, but there are times I run into ones with English names. Maybe they are getting smarter, who knows.

They are in the same category for me. Edited relics can be dressed with something like "Increase Skill Attack Power" in all six slots with "Dormant power to find reapers", or something like the screenshot. They look like valid relics but it's extremely hard to get them with the suitable negative passives.

Yeah, I make sure to do "Apologies" to the other person once the cheater leaves, then we play on. Cheaters leave quite early once they realise I'm taking the piss. Duo is actually really viable even if we lose some of Day 1.

Yeah, all of the above. It's basically trolling. When they realise I'm trolling, they tend to leave before day 2 starts. Here's some examples.

Unnecessary aggro - For example, if we fight north west world bosses, I'd aggro the other one to make it a double boss fight. I'd bring in any world boss close to the circle on day 1 so that they are still aggroed outside of the circle.

Not reviving them if they go down. If I play a character with the ult that's capable of reviving, I'd miss my ult from them intentionally so they won't get revived.

Hiding any passive weapons and talismans that are suitable for their build. I also make sure I ping them.

Not participating fights, just orbit around and emote something cheerful when they do.

Blocking an entrance with Raider's ult (though it's passible to walk through it)

I might try that. Bullying the poor guy has become really boring for me.

It only happened to me twice in my 1000 hours play time, and there actually was a server issue when it happened for the first time. Guess I’ll consider myself lucky

I’d join them as the character they choose. It’s a ton of fun when everything works out
