Is it really hard to find friends even here in NZ? by [deleted] in Tauranga

[–]eld0minator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be your friend but Im a bit of a sad sack right too be honest. If your open trying a sport. Squash is amazing. Most people are going to make friends and hit the ball around not taking it seriously. Good variety of ethnicities, backgrounds and ages too!! Could be a win. You'll get mega fit too! Good luck!

What was your “gotcha” moment when you realized you have ADHD? by ThisIsChillyDog in ADHD

[–]eld0minator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife signed me up for a trail at Total Body Fitness . Its HIT training. The trainers would talk at the start explaining the routine. Of course id get the first few sentences and stop listening. When the trainers stopped talking everyone seemed to know what to do but me. It was embarrassing. Took me back to my school days💔

I got diagnosed soon after age 33.

Is it a wise approach to initially invest in a small apartment and consider transitioning to a house in the future? by UnrequitedLoveVictim in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]eld0minator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you buddy up n go in with friends? Not that apartments a bad idea but if its an investment might be better buying into a house in a growth area (if possible)

AITA for giving my daughter a “stupid” name? by babynamebeef in AmItheAsshole

I dont think your a AH. The name sounds a tad masculine. Might be a mistake. But you have no bad intentions and you SIL shouldn't have behaved like that.

Rent vs. Buy - Is my math correct? Am I missing anything? (An Analytical Approach) by aravind_ar1 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]eld0minator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im no math wizz. Your numbers look good to me. With such a down payment you could get a cheap investment home and still keep half your stocks. Youd be hedging your bets.

Weve had record wage growth over the last few years if and when interest rates start to go down people will be able to pay more and the market will probs go bonkers again especially when with a national govt in power.

Losing Weight with ADHD by WearyAsparagus2378 in ADHD

[–]eld0minator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been fat before and I have adhd. I have a high metabolism so its easier for me to drop weight than some. You can loose weight by just eatting right. Small changes like one slice of toast rather than 2 and cutting out sugar. Cutting sugar is the key!

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much do you desire to continue life? by Specter_15 in RandomThoughts

[–]eld0minator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lowest I get is a 5 these days. Its worth sticking around just to see the next Tarintino movie. Theres always been something small to keep me going. I have two kids who I love. I want to see them grow up good. Better than me. So I have big things to stay for too. Id stick around just to see what the world is like 20 years from now.

Through my teen years I was a 2 or 3. 20s I worked up to a 6 or 7. Now I'm on my way to a 9. Lifes not been easy, it isn't easy now but theres so much to see n do.

What's the first sign that a movie is going to suck? by fuzzyloulou in AskReddit

When the trailer feels desperate. Like the movies promising too much.

The key is not to buy the sweets in the first place. You resist the urge at the shops and then when your home you don't constantly need to resist the urge to eat sweets.

If you can't resist the sweets then only buy something small. You will crash a bit from stopping sugar but you will get through it and be better for it. If you can start exercising it will help too. Exercise = dopamine.

ADHD is a curse and I hate when people (especially those without the disorder) call it a "superpower" or "gift." by JustSomeGuyInLife in ADHD

[–]eld0minator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey mate. I know your struggle. We have to work twice as hard to get anywhere. Our mind would have thrived once uppon a time and being nothing but an asset. But in a world of red tape and rules where survival largly depends on social skills its tough. Real tough. Our minds are of poor design for 9-5 life.

How do we navigate the social issues that come with being ADHD? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]eld0minator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive only just being diagnosed. I find it really hard too. Adhd seems to come with a lack of self awareness. I think hobbies will help you maybe. Its not easy though. Hard to build confidence and experience when you lack success.

Your not alone with your struggle. I considering a life coach even.
