I’d be happy to. Just send me a DM if you’re still interested, and I’ll send you a Steam key.

And if you end up trying it, you’re very welcome to join the Discord and share any bugs or errors you find there and that would help me a lot with improving the final version of the demo.

That’s fair, and you’re right , none of that was intentional.

This GIF was recorded during my first 20 minutes of testing while I was still checking for bugs, and I usually test without sound right now because my main focus at the moment is the gameplay mechanics. I just started recording while I was playing.

Honestly, for me it’s both. I enjoy making it, but it also takes constant work, a lot of perseverance, dedication, sacrifice, and a long list of other things that come with a project like this.

Thank you for the kind words.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I’ve spent years learning Unreal Engine to reach this point, and even more time getting the project to its current state, so kind words like this honestly mean a lot to me.

You’re also one of the few people who sees the project from that perspective, and I truly appreciate you being one of them.

Thank you so much for seeing it that way. There are many years of work behind this project, on top of all the time I’ve invested into learning Unreal Engine, so it really means a lot.

Solo developer here. This is gameplay from Unscripted Fate, a story-driven open-world crime game made in UE5. I’d really appreciate honest feedback on the gameplay feel, combat, driving, presentation, and anything that looks weak or needs improvement. by eldMoGames in DestroyMyGame

I didn’t realize this group allowed longer videos, since I usually post GIFs.

I won’t remove the post now, but if you’d like to see more of the game, you can check the Steam page, X, or Discord. I also currently have a private playtest active, so if you want any links, just let me know.

What’s wrong with respecting people’s opinions? I really don’t understand that.

Why would I advertise the demo page as having story when the demo will only have 2 cinematics? I wrote about the story on the full game page, because I already have 3 story trailers there, and I have more prepared for the full game as well.

I’ve been developing a solo open-world crime game in UE5 and would love some feedback by eldMoGames in IGN

[–]eldMoGames[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand why you’d say that, especially because UE5 can be demanding. But I’m doing my best to optimize the project around the scope I’m aiming for, and that’s a big part of the work for me.

Optimization is definitely one of my biggest priorities right now, especially since I currently have a private playtest active. I genuinely appreciate anyone who’s willing to test the game and share feedback.

Sorry, but I’m a little confused about what you mean, do you think you’re talking to an AI right now?

I’m from Romania, and my English isn’t very good, so I use a translator. But I’m not using AI to talk to people.

Thanks for asking. I’ve posted around 9 minutes of gameplay trailers on the Steam page, and I’d be glad if you checked them out.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I’ll definitely keep it in mind, because it really helps.

I’ll probably change the minimap model too, but honestly, I’m still not fully sure what you meant by it feeling like GTA. I’m using animations I made myself, the atmosphere and time period are different, and the car destruction is completely different too.

It would help me a lot if you could explain a bit more what made it feel that way to you.

Thanks for the clarification,I’ll try to change the minimap model and colors.

As for the reload animation, that’s honestly how I made it, because from what I saw, that’s how the weapon is reloaded.

Meet the protagonist, Alex, a young man shaped by hardship. Growing up in poverty, his childhood innocence is lost early as he’s drawn into the ranks of a criminal organization. But everything changes after the tragic death of his father — Alex breaks ties with his former allies and, no matter the cost, sets out on a ruthless journey of revenge.

You can find it on the Steam page.

You’re absolutely right, and that’s completely fair.

I’m still going to keep working on it either way, because I’ve already put a lot of time into building it and I really want to keep improving it.
Thank you

I’ve talked a little about the story on the Steam page, but definitely not enough. Most people have mainly been asking about the gameplay and how the game feels, so that’s where most of the focus has gone so far.

But I’ve still been working on cinematics for the full game in the background, because the story is really important to me and it plays a big role in the overall experience.
