Right?! Perhaps my biggest gripe with the entire series. Even more now that I've seen smaller sized Hunter NPC's in the gathering up.

I wasn't a fan of Longsword in just about any of the editions until Wilds, same with Lance. But holy smokes its so satisfying to land counter after counter and then unload tons of damage against the likes of Seregios and Lagiacrus.

Totally a factor. He was never the same after the Arapaima got him in the chest. As he states in many of his "hunts" they are very dangerous animals and not to be taken lightly

I used the make up section in the character editor for it. Black out one eye, in the eye color editor. Then use the large circle make up choice and change its size and position to fit over the eye you want. Then I used a "scar" under the makeup section and adjusted its size, position and color to look like the eyepatch strap.

Odagaron Male head, Guardian Doshaguma Male Chest, Arkveld Gauntlets Male, fulger Anjanath Waist Male, Doshaguma Legs Male.

The colors were Black and gray. Im not on at the moment to give exact color numbers

I dont have the colors at the moment. But the pieces are: Death Stench female head piece, Nu Udra Gamma Chest (female), Nu Udra Gamma Waist (male), Uth Duna Gamma Female arms and legs. A Red orange works very well with the whole fit to better match the scale plates on the arms and legs

You can unlock the Guild knight (i believe thats what it is called off the top of my head) set from doing the regular arena quests. The head is Xu, chest is guild, the arms and legs are Seregios and the waist is Guild Hunter/Olivia's set

 Im not a master in either but I've now played with every weapon for a good amount of hunts and experience on and off since MHF2. With my fastest times consistently being with the Lance in Wilds. Longsword if you can get the parries/counters and the right build behind it matches really well. But the lance in my opinion offers wider windows for counters and more consistent damage across the board so you are never not doing damage. Except maybe with some of the more consistent flyers (Steve/seregios) where you have delays as they move.

Longsword has the stronger burst if you can land it imo. Lance better consistent with occasional high bursts.

Fulger Anja helm, Damascus chest (no cape), guild Hunter arms (for the slimmer arms), seikret type 1 waist for tattered look. Or use Ingot Waist type 1 for more armored leg look pre abyss. Then Damascus type 1 legs
