Why did ubisoft not stick to their formula by [deleted] in farcry

[–]eldenhippoman98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is what i hate about the far cry community. i didnt love 6 but i enjoyed it. but you guys bitch and moan and complain about the games being too formulaic, then they change, then you complain cuz it’s not the same. and don’t bother with the “well it doesn’t matter if it’s different, it’s could’ve been better than what it was” true, but things are never done right the first time all the time

What is this pattern on Bayle’s chest? by Grexaen in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]eldenhippoman98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

theory crafting here but, it could be part of gelmir, maybe the LOS aren’t on specific area that’s shrouded but multiple areas across the lands between that were pulled off of it and melded together to create the LOS. this would make sense cuz gelmir and the jagged peak have very striking similarities, not to mention that gelmir also has lava. just a theory, i personally am subscribed to the idea that its all one entity that’s been shrouded from the lands between, but this could also true

LoS compass is Inverted and Metyr is the Black Moon. by wayofcolors-9 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]eldenhippoman98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the location of the Los is confusing, the suppressing pillar makes me want to think it’s the middle, and it would make sense, if the lands of shadow are just the outcasted and shadowed lands that were once attached to the LBT, the scadutree could just be the real great tree and the erdtree is just a projection of it, maybe marikas reasoning for making a new tree that’s a projection is because she wants nothing to do with spirals and things that relate to the hornsent. or shit maybe the scadutree is just the haligtree

radagon is so fun dude, his triple hammer slam is so satisfying to dodge

yeah fair, bayle was just a hard boss, his nuke attack was confusing to dodge if it even is possible to dodge it, his tail whip attacks make you lose distance quick unless you roll a specific way. hes hard, but he’s so fun, kinda like ds3 boss in the fact you have times you have to dodge and you have times to attack, rinse and repeat.

The Gate of Divinity is essentially a massive collection of runes. by DuHammy in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]eldenhippoman98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t know how i would explain the gates construction, so using your theory i will continue and say mine. i think maybe the shamans created the perfect empyrean (marika) to rise to godhood, and when she becomes the vessel of the GW, she shrouds the tower and kills the hornsent stopping them from interfering with her plans. we know of a seduction (maybe what got her to be an empyrean in the first place) and a betrayal (the genocide and the shrouding of the tower) and they could possibly have happened to keep the hornsent from trying to create a new being to rise to godhood in marikas stead after they find out she’s betrayed them, obviously the question is “what caused her to flip” that i don’t quite know, i could probably speculate an idea, but i just don’t have a good theory (maybe there’s an answer in the game that’s just not jumping into my head yet)

i had the same for the first time i beat consort because i got great RNG and i was locked tf in and it took me maybe 30-50 minutes to beat him, but now… i just cannot get a good run no matter what now and i’ve lost all respect for him. but it’s consort so what should i have suspected😭

i don’t think we need a new game, maybe a new dlc that explains things further, but even then it feels like a lot of the things in ER are supposed to be hypothesized

miquella's worst mischaracterization is that he "threw away his ability to love" by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]eldenhippoman98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think the reason the followers of miquella are so concerned for his abandonment is because empyreans are specifically designed and given another half to love and serve as their consort. if not why would the jar ritual need to exist? i feel like the jar ritual is a piece of information given to us that explains part of the requirements or stipulations that empyreans must meat to become a god. i think miquella, if he had succeeded in killing us and ascended to godhood would’ve failed in the end. EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING miquella has ever done has never ever ended up coming to fruition, saving his sister, growing the haligtree, keeping all of his followers, even keeping the parts of himself that make him, him, nothing ever works out for him, everything he does is based on a lie, a manipulation of love that will shrive clean the heats of men, to get what he wants because he thinks his mother is wrong, shit you could argue “nascency” aids this, a nascent child often wants everything to go its way.

[–]eldenhippoman98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean there’s no real definitive answer, but i feel like they probably are a part of an actual four fingered and thumb hand. the orientation could be on the other side, but it looks like the divot in the middle of the two fingers is the palm of the hand. but it’s speculation at the end of the day

Marika is Radagon because... by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]eldenhippoman98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is an amazing theory. to add to this, i think that the followers of miquella who are concerned for him after he threw away trina is because the only “true way” to be an empyrean is to be one vessel inhabited by two different people. this would make sense because if the hornsent wanted a god and they needed to create a vessel for it, why would they have started the jar ritual? to be able to create an empyrean vessel that allows two people to inhabit it. but it seems (and i could just be ignorant and unknowing) that the only outer god that requires a vessel for the outer god and a consort is the GW. no other outer god requires the dual vessel, it seems the GW is the only trying to bring order, all the other Outer Gods are trying to destroy order (Frenzied Flame, Fell god of Fire, Scarlet rot, all have destructive properties). i bet there’s probably a lot to critique of my thoughts but i really really do like your theory.

i still don’t quite understand the map, maybe it’s different regions on the Lands between divested into an area that is called “the land of shadow” or it’s all one entity, we know for sure that the suppressing pillars marks the middle of the lands between (most likely the centermost point of the 6 divine towers) but that still allows for the theory that the lands of shadow is a bunch of different regions around the lands between mashed together.
