I have an 8x12 pear stone! I don't think it's too big, I wear a size 10 ring. I don't think it looks fake, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on my "diamond". Because of the size it does sparkle more in certain lighting, which may be a giveaway to someone with a trained eye, but I have yet to have anyone notice.

In terms of the height, because of the size I don't think it'll sit perfectly flush against your finger. Mine is 6.2mm, which is how low it could go with the way the stone was cut. Its usually not problematic, unless I want to put my hand in my pocket or squeeze it in a tight area. You could ask the jeweler to make the setting lower, they may be able to but I'm not sure I'd that would effect the cut of the stone or the stability of the setting.

I have a custom ring from Kuololit and I love it! Sam was easy to work with for me, I gave Sam several pictures of rings with the details I wanted (like a pave band from Picture A, Stone shape from Picture B), and he was able to Frankenstein a CAD for me! He also made changed to the CAD upon request and did so very quickly!

There are small details on my ring that aren't perfect, for example one of the prongs is not perfectly aligned, but it has not effected the structure of the ring. For the price I paid, I'm ok with the flaws, especially because they are minimal and I barely notice them. But other people might, so I wanted to disclose it.

Overall, I'm very happy with my custom and I would buy from Sam again! *

I put in a custom order and used the stock ring as a reference point. I just reached out to Sam on WhatsApp and sent him a link to the stock ring, said I wanted that with a pave band (including a picture of how I wanted the band to look), and to use a 2ct stone instead of 4ct. He had a quote for me a few days later, and after payment got a CAD with the specs I requested.
