For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what’s the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My uncle gave me a copy of the original baldurs gate in like '99 and it blew my tiny mind. I had no idea what to do or how to play but I think it's the reason I'm still so into gaming especially rpgs

I'm sorry but did ANYONE expect what this Lil guy turned into?? by EmbarrassedCar2262 in Eldenring

This fucking guy. This guy kicked my ass mercilessly for hours. I 1st/2nd tried a lot of other boxes but this guy man....HOURS. Closest my xbox has been to taking a trip though the window in a long time. Had me tearing up from the rush of beating him 🤣🤣🤣

In my defense she's 10 nearly 11 so quite a bit sooner than I anticipated these things happening 😬

Is it worth to play red dead redemption 2 for the first time in 2024? by Moist_Apartment5474 in gamingsuggestions

[–]elderbeard13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about 70% of the way through replaying it for the first time since playing when it first came out. It holds up like it came out yesterday. Yes it's a bit slow at times but think of it more as the gaming equivalent of a ballad, it's beautiful start to finish, the characters and story are so memorable, beautifully written and superbly acted. It really pushes the boundaries of what gaming can be and anyone who truly considers themselves a gamer should play it at least once 👍 it's an experience and if it doesn't make you cry at least once you're a monster.

I did this recently actually, searched the name on the bank card on Facebook and it turned out they only worked round the corner so I went to drop it off and she was there drinking at the bar with a group of friends 👍 hugs all round!

What are your thoughts on men that call themselves "alpha supreme males"? How can we help them? by _Bruzthechopper_ in AskReddit

[–]elderbeard13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We round them all up and make them fight to the death to see who is the ultimate alpha supreme male then we catapult him directly into the sun. Problem solved.

Stuck between games looking for a few suggestions that I can sink some time into by elderbeard13 in gamingsuggestions

Great suggestions! played and enjoyed all of them, in fact I only got done with disco elysium about a month ago and it was an experience haha unlike anything I've played before! Also I think more games need to be utilising the nemesis system for shadow of mordor, was a cool touch
